January Event: "GET OUT OF MY HOUSE" Day 1
YOU THOUGHT THE TEMPLE WAS GOING TO BE LOCKING YOU OUT BUT IT WAS I, NEW SURPRISE GEM NPC.
As of this comment the temple entrance has been completely sealed off by a reinforced/near impenetrable wall of earth. The culprit is Tiger's Eye (or just Tiger), a gem that is native to this world. Not just that, but she is the only remaining intact gem from this temple, and has been on her own for a very long time. She is most upset right now about the release of the Griffon, who she was entrusted to care for by someone really important to her. (This is basically the emotional equivalent of finding out someone let your sister's dog out of the yard)

A few details about Tiger's Eye:
- Her powers are largely earth focused, and she can manipulate it as she wants. She also has super strength and her weapons are metal claws
- Unlike player gems, Tiger has been around for hundreds of years and thus has all her powers already and is quite powerful. It would take a lot of you to take her down - this is why we advised against violence for the people trapped inside. (A fight once the walls are down though is very possible if players want that!)
- If you couldn't already guess, she's a bit of a hothead. And also grumpy. This goes in the other direction though: she's extremely emotional in all other fields, despite her best efforts not to let it show (
this is my way of saying she cries during every movie she watches). She can absolutely be reasoned with and appealed to, but she's gotta cool down a little first. - As mentioned in the event log she is very short, and also stout! Think Amethyst's body type.
- She's been gone for a year, before any of the current playerbase arrived.
- The townspeople know her very well. If you talk to them they will have nothing but positive things to say about her and how she's protected the town in the past. They will mention though that she does have a temper.
- If you press them further they will also mention that they haven't seen "the other one" in a very long time and that Tiger's been noticeably different since. Further prodding for names and such won't get you far though, mostly out of respect for Tiger's privacy. (They have their own suspicions but know not to pry when someone might be grieving)
- They will say though that they thought she brought you all here to take care of the town in her absence. Oops! You know what they say about assumptions!
- Tiger's own memory of the distant past is extremely shoddy.
- If you read the locations page closely you may have noticed the gem forum description mentioning old threads. "balboa76" is indeed Tiger.
- If you're worried you won't get a chance to interact with her over this event, don't fret: Tiger is here to stay, provided she doesn't come out of this bubbled (though that would cause problems for future events!)
- She was designed (and is primarily being played) by one of your mods, Lynsey!
