Whoa. That poor kid! It sounds like it's going to be pretty traumatic. Connie's heard a lot of different tales, and since most people telling them are older, it'll be different to have someone from her age having to face that kind of stuff.

That said, it's actually a good thing if Connie goes with him: her stone is Moss Agate, and that stone has a lot to do with the powers Connie has to begin with. While people like Fluttershy have the ability to heal, Connie helps people in frantic situations ground and center, and recently she was given the power to actually give them a power boost if needed, although this will take more out of her, since they'll be in an artificial room instead of out in the open.

Now, Connie being able to do this won't mean it'll happen right away. With all the stuff that's in Reira's memories, there's bound to be plenty of obstacles to get in their way. I don't know them canonically, so that'll definitely be in your court. Connie will definitely be game to finding out about Reira.
