Alright everybody! I've gathered all the names of the characters who were signed up and run them through the RNGs so here's the competition bracket and general schedule of events for the Tournament. IC-ly this event will begin on Sunday April 24th and finish on Saturday April 30th.
IF YOU ARE ENTERED IN THE 1v1s PLEASE MAKE SURE TO READ THE INFORMATION AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS POST FOR IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW MATCHES WILL PROGRESS THROUGHOUT THE EVENT. THANKS!
I hope to have the Event post itself up no later than this Saturday evening or Sunday morning. I'll have top-levels set-up for the matches as well as each daily competition for those who want to play out how their character did in those events. As mentioned earlier, following the award ceremony for each skill competition there will be an opportunity for all attendees to try out the challenge of the day for themselves and receive tips and instruction for improvements if they wish, so there should be lots of opportunities to mingle and have fun even if your character isn't competing. The tournament's intended to be a way for everyone to test their skills if they want!
The event schedule will play out as follows.
April 24th (Sunday): Opening Ceremony (with concert by Honoka!) followed by the Strength Competition
April 25th (Monday): First Round of 1v1 Matches
April 26th (Tuesday): Accuracy Competition
April 27th (Wednesday): Second Round of 1v1 Matches
April 28th (Thursday): Reflexes Competition
April 29th (Friday): Third Round of 1v1 Matches
April 30th (Saturday): Agility Competition and the 1v1 Finals!
There will be a Closing Ceremony after sunset on Saturday with another concert courtesy of Honoka and a small fireworks display (because Yang has discovered the joy of black powder fireworks, Dust help us all). Throughout all seven days of the tournament, characters are invited to set up stalls on the beach to sell food and wares. Because it's just not a tournament if you can't buy a whole bunch of junk food or souvenirs, right? XD
I've run the RNGs for the winners of the skill challenges and they are as follows below. I've included links to screen-caps of the RNG lists so that everyone else involved can see where they placed as well as for transparency:
Strength Skill Challenge: First - Darin, Second - Walter, Third - Kanji (And the rest of the placements)
Accuracy Skill Challenge: First - Ichigo, Second - Don, Third - Blake (And the rest of the placements)
Reflexes Skill Challenge: First - Darin, Second - Remilia, Third - Connie (And the rest of the placements)
Agility Skill Challenge: First - Zac, Second - Daniel, Third - Labrys (And the rest of the placements)
First, Second, and Third place winners will be awarded a medal in Gold, Silver, or Bronze respectively that is engraved with their name and the event they participated in on the back. They will also receive a voucher for a free dinner for 4 at Sup All Nite. Congratulations winners!
And now for the match-ups for the first round of the Singles Tournament! These matches will occur IC-ly in the order below throughout Monday (4/25) although you are free to start your threads as soon as I have the Event post up and ready. Please read below for instructions on how the second, third, and final rounds of this tournament will proceed:
Yang vs Kanji
Labrys vs Connie
Zac vs Daniel
Sister vs Blake
Kyouko vs Darin
Remilia vs Masumi
Don vs Walter
Ruby vs Jaune
(RNG Screencap; Numbers assigned was order in which they signed up.)
I am leaving the winners of these matches up to the Muns so please feel free to plot out how your match will go below. I ONLY ASK THAT YOU DECIDE ON A WINNER AND CONTACT ME WITH THEIR NAME BY 11:59 PM PST MONDAY. This is so I'll have enough time to RNG a new list of match-ups of those winners, inform the muns, and give them time to plot for the next round. If for any reason you can't decide on a winner, please contact me and I will happily RNG one for you. Match-ups whose muns do not contact me with a winner by 11:59 PM PST on Monday will also be decided by RNG.
The match-ups for the semi-final and final rounds will play out in much a similar way (Muns contact me with winners from the previous round, I RNG the new match-ups, lather rinse repeat). I apologize for any inconveniences this set-up causes, but it was the best way I could figure to allow muns the freedom to decide their match outcomes while also letting everything flow IC-ly and OOC-ly. ^^; Again you are free to start your threads the moment the Event post is up and ready and you have your match-ups! Threads do not have to begin on nor end by the dates listed on the IC Tournament schedule. I just need to know their outcomes OOC-ly by the listed time(s).
The winner of the 1v1 Tournament will win this super awesome trophy engraved with their name and "Winner of the First Waverly Bay Tournament".
Be jelly.
Aaaand that should be it! Please feel free to use this post to plot out or advertise what your characters will be up to during the event. And as always, if there's any questions or concerns just comment below, PM, or Plurk me and I'll respond asap. Thanks everybody for all the input and help on this and I hope you all enjoy the First Wavery Bay Tournament!!!
