HEY EVERYBODY, Zoki here, and I just wanted to fill you in with a little plotting update/idea. This completely-optional and completely-avoidable player plot won't be in full swing for another month, but I'd like to make sure everyone I don't plurk with is aware and has the opportunity to volunteer to make a mess.

So some of your characters might have heard Sunset say that she wasn't exactly the nicest person in the past. She's right---she used to be a controlling, cruel, selfish bully who wanted power and control. It got so bad that when she first gained powerful magic, she turned into a demon hell-bent on enslaving people to create a personal invasion army. After getting clubbed with a strong blast of empathy, she's become a much better person...but that monster is still inside her, and it's going to break free sooner or later.

And by sooner or later I mean next month. When she fuses with a person with similarly dark impulses, some part of her demon self will be back---specifics dependent on which two characters make this monster, because this'll be a challenge for both of them. They'll (probably) have the desire to lead a monster army to seize control of the temple and then, the world. When the fusion breaks and they see what they've done...it's then up to everyone to defeat the monster the two helped create.

So here's where I ask for everyone's help with plotting! I'm looking for someone to fuse with her and create the double dose of darkness, anyone who wants to help the takeover attempt, anyone stepping up to fight back? Let's toss ideas around, ask questions!

I'm still ironing out the final details, so please ask questions! I want to make sure that the people involved have opportunities to be awesome and that I can plot out a way to keep this contained so it only affects the characters who opt in.

Because she lost almost all of her powers and she's got some issues about self worth and being strong enough.

She'll throw herself into the fight with all she's got which...probably means she'll get tossed around a lot too. It should be a good time.

And as I resist the urge to just app ALL of the characters seeing Sunset makes my Trixie muse stir

Two things

1) Akoya doesn't just have similar dark impulses, he outright has urges that has him wanting to make the world SQUIRM at his feet. Sunset would have definitely felt that last time they fuse, but now Akoya has actually gone through a whole buttload of failed fusions (see Fluttershy for an example on how bad it is).

I don't mind being the partner but if you want someone else or someone else offers, that's cool too. If ya choose me, I need to start playing on Akoya's fusion addiction problem more aggressively

But yeah, that might be up for it. Although after Pink Diamond, if Akoya fuses again and Pinkie sees them go crazy (especially if it's somebody she knows isn't like that usually), sheeee might get suspicious. So we shall see how things play out, but for now the answer is yes.

Percy fought Gaea and Kronos. He can take a fusion. He's definitely going to fight back. Hell, he might even lead the rebels.

HOW-EVER, as Percy is a great commander, and I allow ENCOURAGE mind control and brainwash, so Sunset Fusion might see some fighter potential or something and control him (seeings as she doesn't know him at all lmao). This is one of my favorite angst subjects.

But if not, Percy's totally having a main role in leading those against the monster army, alongside a few other characters. Can't take the entire spotlight, y'know, gotta be fair.

Shun's another "rebel leader"-type option, and even if he's the grumpiest butt ever he has light powers so. Literal light fighting back the darkness, awyea.

I do like mind control, but at this rate the "good" side's going to be lacking some of the really competent fighters whose muns also like mind control so MAYBE I'LL JUST STICK WITH HIM ON THE GOOD SIDE--

Ichigo's actually got a power that can help her resist mental-based abilities like mind control. I don't know if she'll be fully aware of said power by next month, but it's something to keep in mind, right?

So yeah, she'll be among those fighting back, and could give Sunset and her fusion partner some nasty psychic feedback if they push too hard.

Fortunately, that protection's pretty much just for Ichigo at this point. Even if she'll eventually be able to extend it out a bit to those around/very close to her, that's waaaay down the line. So short of some kinda brief power surge/loss of control or something along those lines, it's not like this is going to let her negate or cancel out anyone else's mind control.

All it really means is that Sunset and her fusion partner will find Ichi more resistant to any attempt they make to influence her, and if they press, she'll likely end up pressing back. Does that make sense?

Quick question though and I apologize if it was already asked and answered somewhere and I just over-looked it: How will the monster army be raised? Are they gem monsters? Elemental constructs? Zombified gems? Or will it ultimately depend on who the fusion is made of?

For now I'll say it depends? But probably no gem monster creations, I don't think they're quite capable of that...just elemental spectres and whichever unfortunate souls end up in their army
