[It's not so much that he's a turtle that gets her attention...well it is, but it's more that he's a talking turtle.

Because she had friends who, while she had never seen them that way, said they were turtles back home.

So it's very carefully, very slowly that she approaches him, softly clearing her throat in hopes of getting his attention.]
