This wasn't the tv world. He could tell the moment he reached for Izanagi and felt the familiar real world block. He was THERE but he couldn't be used.
So he had really been transported somewhere else. And if those holes were anything to go by, others had or would be as well. Maybe even his friends. He supposed he could try and go BACK through the hole, but something made him feel... like he was needed here. If nothing else, others that fell through would need help like he did. If not for Amethyst he very well could had wandered right outside in a fugue. Right into the water and drowned.
