[Princess Azula of the Fire Nation was not having a great day. It was however better then most of the days she'd had in the last month wandering lost and insane in the forgetful valley. Starving, chased by beastst of all shapes and sizes and worst of all filthy. There were days when she caught sight of her reflection in a pool of water and hardly recognized herself.
Then came the hole. A perfectly princess shaped hole as if such a thing made sense. Submitting herself to the madness of such a thing she investigated the hole, crawling until she was falling and landing in a rather ungraceful heap in some kind of ruined temple.
Instantly survival instincts and paranoia took hold and she backed up against a wall scanning the room for threats. There were doors, and a massive gem in the center of the room but for the time being...no danger. Not yet anyway.]

The Beach
[So, this was her life now.
Standing on the warm sandy beach she felt the grains shift between her toes. She had cleaned herself up to some degree, but her long untamed hair and sunken features still made her look more like a feral beast, or at best an irritated peasant.
Her mind felt more clear now then it had in weeks, but it was still not as sharp as she needed. She could still hear the constant low murmuring of doubt and paranoia warning her of the threats the ocean hid from sight and how though the other gems from the temple seemed harmless she should not, could not let her guard down.
Indeed she didn't dare draw close to the ocean expecting either another vivid hullucination, or that the water itself might somehow spring to life and drag her under once more. Just the sound of the blueish green water lapping along the sand made her skin crawl.
But she was here now and she needed to overcome this. What good would she be in a fight if the sound of the ocean distracted her? How could she possibly live in this pathetic excuse for a village if she was intimdated by one of it's primary features?
And so she began her stances. A slow warm up to prepare for a work out routine she knew by heart. This cursed diamond in her belly may be cutting off her fire bending, but surely there was still some power she could find. Some ability it would reveal to her. All she had to do was focus. Return to who she was before her life came crashing down.
[So it was a game of lies the Gem wanted of her now? And her reward was a new ability? As much as Azula loathed interacting with strangers right now it was an opportunity too good to pass up. Hopefully she hadn't lost any of her talent for lying since everything fell apart. Now, who to use for this?]
