January Event Plotting/Sign Up Post!

Hiya folks! If you've been looking at the calendar lately, you may have noticed by now that our very next event is coming up this Wednesday! We'd like to give you more details about this event so you may start plotting for it.

Next week, starting Wednesday the Temple will be completely sealed off, shutting out most gems while trapping a few others inside.

How and why this happens you will have to wait till Wednesday to find out. But the bulk of the event will be trying to find a way back into/out of the temple/dealing with the separation from your CR (should you be separated from them). For the trapped people this also means your food and supplies will be limited to what you already have inside the temple or what your powers are capable of creating. (Don't worry! This will only last a few days so no one will starve! But it is extra incentive to unseal the temple)

Because of the nature of this event, we're giving you time to plan accordingly. There are sign ups below for trapped inside/locked out and we encourage you all to use this post to talk about your plans. While sign ups for those locked out is not necessarily mandatory, we would like everyone who intends to be trapped inside to sign up, just so we can keep track. In addition, please remember that the majority of gems should be locked out. If we feel too many gems are opting to be trapped instead we will cut off sign ups. Please note that if you don't sign up you will be assumed to be on the outside.

Lastly, specifically for those trapped inside we would also like to advise you that violence is not very likely to work for the first half of this event (and if anything, may make things worse) so keep this in mind when deciding which of your characters will be trapped. But we would love to see a more creative usage of people's powers. (i.e. someone using water powers to make sure you can all still drink, etc)

Trapped Inside

Sonico will be trapped inside the Temple OH BOY

she'll be doing her best to make sure everyone has some decent food with what she has left in her room and she'll be taking advantage of her Soothing Voice power to try and keep people calm.

Kanami's going to be inside and she's going to be trying to use her new communication power to try and get in touch with people outside.

Her powers basically works like a skype call (or rather, just like communication powers work in the persona series proper) but she can't contact you unless she knows you (and if you allow her signal to reach you). I'm going to try and throw her at more people in the next few days or make a post for her so she can contact more people during all this. Let me know if you want to hit her up at any point for this.

edit: OH also Kanami's power allows her to have multiple people in a single conversation (up to like 4) because lol she's just mind skype so if you need a way to contact your friends outside/inside/make sure folks you know are ok she is there for that.

Feferi will be trapped inside!

She hasn't actually discovered any powers at all yet, so mostly she will be trying to get some teamwork going to find a way out, whether that means rallying the others herself, or following whoever chooses to take a lead.

Anri will be locked inside! Mainly because she can't trivialize the food problem like Amelie can.

She will do her best not to mention that she's pretty sure the reason this is happening is because the Heart wants revenge on her.

Asriel Dreemurr is going to be trapped inside the temple and slowly becoming more and more frightened as the days go on. He's really liked being able to be outside, so getting sealed in an "underground" area? Yeah that's not okay for him.

Walker is absolutely getting trapped inside.

It's going to be a super uncomfortable experience for him because he was trapped in murder game bunker for 3 months and this is almost literally a motive that happened to him that ended in someone becoming chunky pink salsa.

BUT he's going to do his best to help anyone who wants it and keep people calm. He won't be happy but he'll be pretty sure Monobear isn't going to pop up out of nowhere this time.

Kaneki will be trapped inside! The only powers he has so far aren't really ones that would be terribly useful for getting out, but he's far more inclined to not use violence to try and escape. I don't really have any plans in particular, so I'm open for plotting, even if Kaneki can just be there for moral support.

Cirno will be trapped inside! She'll probably be pounding on the door and focused on trying to get out and probably refusing to eat to let others actually get food.

She can use her ice manipulation if someone can melt it down for water if need be!

Emmet will be locked inside. He hasn't really discovered his powers yet so that he wouldn't be too helpful but in the very least he'll try to keep moral up to everyone trapped inside!

Since Haruka has some major trauma that keeps her from sleeping anywhere but a bedroom, I'll put her inside the Temple. She'll still be pretty freaked out, especially when the food starts to run out (good thing she bought so many groceries the other day), and will try and get everyone together to keep them all okay.

Trapping Amethyst inside because of three reasons.

1. Her violent nature might make things worse for everyone

2. Her shapeshifting prowess might come in handy

3. Her room is full of garbage, that's gotta come in handy somehow right? Maybe?

RUBY will be trapped inside. Because that is clearly the best thing to do to someone with super speed, right? She will not be of much use trying to get out, powers-wise, but by god she will help as best she can!

Walter will be trapped inside because if he were locked out he would just mostly ignore the event.

Not sure what exactly he'll be able to do (unless a source of light is needed), but he will definitely be doing it because wow let him ouuuuut.

Also probably telling people to calm the fuck down, despite not being calm at all, confinement makes him extremely antsy.

Velvet will be stuck inside because, well... She really doesn't venture out of the Temple enough. Plus this gives me a muse on each side.

Most likely, she'll want to take a headcount, see if they can get a solid idea of who's stuck inside for the duration of the event. Try and get everyone working together, or at least, not working against each other...

Kebi's going to be locked inside. He's the only one that NEEDS to eat out of all three of my muses, so Flowey and Peridot will be locked out.

Blooky will be trapped inside. Apparently the mods said that they'd be able to phase out of the temple, being a ghost, but they cannot bring anyone or anything through the walls. Expect them to not realize this until around the last day or two of the plot, though, as most of their time will just be spent going "...oh" and not doing much. They can probably just check up on the people outside/give them news of inside shenanigans, if someone wants them to.

Mostly they'll be lying on the floor of their room/the heart room.

Japple is going to be locked in and boys and girls is she gonna be piiiissed. She's going to try and use her portal abilities to get out and when those fail she'll more or less be grumbling for a bit in obscenities and southern witticisms. She'll come around to helping people after a bit but her first reaction will be anger

Daniel is going to be trapped inside, and likely... isn't going to be useful at all, for one reason or another. (There's actually a chance this could set off a small flashback episode so if you want to specifically deal with that, then lemme know. It wouldn't be anywhere but a cleared thread with another character anyway, so if you don't wanna deal with that then there's no worries there)

Other than that! ...At least he'll have his dog with him?

Fluttershy is going to be trapped inside. Naturally she'll be a bit freaked out herself, but she can also help try to calm everyone with her Soothing Song ability.

Fluttershy will also have a device Chris made for her, so she can communicate with anyone on the outside who has a phone or anything.

after much plurk debate beatrice is going to be trapped inside the temple. she decides that the temple might not be so bad after all and the ONE TIME she goes back she gets sealed inside aint that just dandy??
