Hey hey! Elaine here! You all know me for playing the lovable Miss Jane Crocker, and today I bring you another cyan-themed gal! From the hit Wii U shooter Splatoon, it's Thida the Inkling!

She's a player character OC with Splatoon's first person campaign as her background, and from her point of things, she's just wrapped up her mission to rescue the Great Zapfish and is back to the beloved Inkling pastime of Turf Wars. Her gem is Ammolite and her first power is Weapon Summoning - namely, she can pull out a giant Inkbrush. The only problem? Not only does she have no ink to use it with, she also cannot be a squid - for now she is locked into just being a kid! THAT'S A PRETTY HARSH WAY TO SOLVE AN EXISTENTIAL CRISIS AIN'T IT

Yes! If she gets shapeshifting at some point. :3

Ah, well, that makes sense. I've sort of figured the same thing; if Ichi ever gets shapeshifting, she'll probably use it more for sizeshifting. Not sure if she'll ever get the hang of it enough for PROPER shapeshifting, but hey, one step at a time, right?

Suits her! ♪ What with all the changing colors she does back in her canon...

Is she eventually going to get some kind of ink generation, too? So she's not just whacking monsters with a dry brush?

She'll get ink production, yes! It'd break her heart if she couldn't ink up places so she could squid around in it. Well...it will until she can earn it back. :B

I wonder what the chances of her getting canonmates around here are? There's Callie and Marie... I saw a Judd in Dear Player once; that could be interesting...

I have no idea, but I'm not going to hold my breath. We'll see if ATP brings anybody in.

Oh, before I forget: since she's a Gem now above being a squid and a kid, and her body's a light projection or however you want to describe it, does that mean she can go into the water?

...I mean, not that I expect she'd WANT to, given her past experiences with it... more as a point of reference.

I think she may be able to, but at the same time, it would terrify her and she'd probably react like a cornered animal if someone attempted to force her in.

Yeah, I could see her only finding out if she got knocked into the surf during a monster fight or something...

Or if someone wanted to be a jerk and throw her into the water from behind
