Lots of canine traits will carry through, as well as loyalty, fire, and infectious neo-soul beats. Also, getting into Mystery's head will probably reveal a lot of his secrets to whoever he's fusing with, whether he wants to or not.

GEM: Amber, set low in his throat
IDEAS: Most of Yu's powers are passive (Truth Sight and Empathy) but he also now has a summon-able weapon in the form of a sword. He's also lightning/electricity, element-wise. He'd be great for powersets that favor support, but he is also skilled in combat: basically he can shore up most general weaknesses of other gems. He's also very calm and supportive, so great for those that are usually too unstable for fusions.

In fact he's very easy to fuse with period. He's already had two partners, though one was... not very pleasant and is not something he wants to repeat. But the other was something he really enjoyed and wouldn't mind doing again. Just boooonds. Give him bonds he loves it. Plus he can already dance

Oh man. Percy's gem is about anxiety-soothing and calmness, far as I've read. And a sword for a weapon you say? He's totally down for that. Got six years of fighting under his belt.

He'll probably take a while to trust you enough to fuse though. He talks easy and acts generally friendly, but y'know. Some people back home end up being monsters and want to kill him.
Actually, on second thought, with how generally calm and nice Yu is, it might not take as long as it might be.

IDEAS: Fusions will go fast. And be at least half giant dork. Ruby's not too hard to fuse with overall, and there aren't a ton of tragic secrets in her brain or anything.

GEM: Pyrite, set on his left shoulder
IDEAS: Fusions won't happen for Darin for a while considering he still doesn't even know that fusions are, in fact, a thing. Feel free to explain to him that four armed, giant people are not necessarily normal! Other than, as of right now his only power is clone projections (which has yet to be discovered). He'll likely be learning how to summon his weapon, a Dao, sometime soon! Fusing with him will lead to increased stamina and also an overly cocky, confident attitude, plus Darin's natural eidetic memory (which he will regain in time). There's also the fact that Darin has the added benefit of having one and a half souls, the other half being that of a stupidly powerful demon. (His brother has the other half but that's another story.) Fusing with Darin could very easily lead to this half of a soul bubbling up to the surface trying to claim the new body as its own, so...you know. Fun times.

Darin knows about what he is, but he won't have any idea that fusing will cause his little add-on to wake up and go bonzo. But, as I was saying, I'm all down for more CR and bonds that could eventually lead up to a fusion, especially if it means lots of strong bonds.

EXTRAS: Darin legitimately cannot dance so any fusion dancing will be a hilarious comedy of errors but he'd still have fun with it!

Seriously, I'm almost positive that he dances like this.

Character: Sunset Shimmer (burningbrighter)
GEM: Sunstone, sun-shaped, set on her collarbone
IDEAS: Sunset's a pony-gone-human, so most fusions with her would have some anthro-pony traits---ears, tail. Her powerset right now is healing, empathy, and fire. Possibly also fire wings if you want a phoenix look.

Personality-wise...she has emotional baggage from her past as a bully. Fusions with kind and forgiving people usually keep her stable, but anyone with a more pronounced dark side...could be bad news.

Character: Doc Brown (4thdimensional)
GEM: Lightning Quartz, triangle, set in his forehead
IDEAS: Doc's a silver-haired geezer, and mmost fusions would probably also wear dramatic coats of some sort---lab or western. They'd tend to have a third eye, all the better for seeing fourth-dimensionally---time powers! Also an excellent strategist, and any weapons would tend toward steampunk.

Personality-wise, he's very excitable and loves to talk about length about things. Expect some motor-mouthed-ness. And it takes a special soul to accept and sync up with him enough to fuse in the first place...

Character: Strong Bad (crapfully)
GEM: Blue Apatite, set between his eyes on his mask like it always is.
IDEAS: You like wrestling? He does, and most fusions would probably try to use his moves. He also has the power to conjure objects he draws into existence, and he tends toward blades for weapons.

Personality-wise, he's cocky, a bit flirtatious, and has selfish impulses. Fusing with a better person will temper them, fusing with another villain...it could get weird. But he'll be very reluctant to fuse for a while: he's conflicted about his past and really doesn't want the vulnerability of letting someone else join him.

GEM: Fluorite, on the back of her head

IDEAS: Osaka is the kind of person that gets caught up in other people's antics, so she'd mostly be playing second fiddle in fusions. That said, her generally calm demeanor could probably ensure the more emotional people she fuses with chill out a bit too. And then there's, of course, the weird way she thinks. She generally finds herself focusing on one thing and completely missing everything else around her until she finally finishes her thought. So her "single-minded" (GET IT) nature could be fun to play with.

Current powers are dream-walking and illusion creation, with would probably be a shitton of fun to play around with.

As for appearance... Her weird mind might actually make it slightly difficult for stable fusions. By which I mean, fusions with her would probably have more appendages or eyes or something. She's also probably SUPER UNFIT. But I'm cool with whatever!

IDEAS: Fusing with Stan will give you strength, a weathered lifetime of experience, and strong devotion to friends and family. His current powers are teleportation, contact-based empathy, shapeshifting, and the ability to summon his knuckledusters. Those powers can be kept, tweaked, or combined when fused with other Gems! Also, prepare for the weirdness boost in your personality!

Lingering side effects may include a questionable sense of morality, possible existential thoughts and maybe a lingering impression of some of Stan's memories? At the very least you'll get the sense that he's more than he seems at first glance, though exactly what you'll get out of him will probably different from person to person.

EXTRAS: Now that he's already tried fusing, he's a bit more open to the option. It still weirds him out a LOT, and he'll be pretty picky about who he fuses with. He has to trust them first. But hey, if it's an emergency and you need some extra strength? Stan's your man.

IDEAS: Are you ready to look like the most 80-est person in the world? Because that's what you'll get if you fuse with Marty. Both of his powers are offensive (Battle Guitar, Pyromancy) but he's still super awkward with them so that'll be fun.

Obvious personality traits that one will get if you were to fuse with him are love of music/video games, general chillness, and freaking out whenever any sort of danger arrives.

Awesome hair. Sunset's inclination is to heal and support, possibly through music, though they could shred. SB...uh. Brings lots of boasting and a battle axe. Can't imagine either of them being very stable, though.

Zac's Characters

Character: Zacadia "Zac" Ryilan
GEM: Flame Spinel, set in his right shoulder.
IDEAS: Zac is almost literally the embodiment of his patron element. He is very passionate and his emotions all bubbly incredibly close to the surface, making him horridly excitable, among other things. Fusing with someone more emotionally tempered would result in a fairly even-keeled fusion, whereas someone matching his level of energy might make give the fusion more energy than Waverly Bay might know what to do with.

As for powers, he is very flexible and has a fairly diverse control over fire as an element, both of which the fusion could make liberal use of. He is also very durable, though that is less because of any magic or skill and more because he is incredibly bullheaded and refuses to go down without giving everything he has.

Suffice it to say, fusing with Zac will likely be an experience that you might need a few days to recoup from.
EXTRAS: One time, Zac kicked an 8"2' giant in the head so hard that he broke all the bones in his right foot. I realize that's not a joke but you learned something new today and I laughed writing this, so we both win.

Character: Steven Quartz-Universe
GEM: Rose Quartz, set right where his belly button should be.
IDEAS: Do you like being happy? Do you like eating food? Do you like making the worst possible puns that you can? Then you should fuse with Steven! Unfortunately, he isn't available for fusion at the moment, as his body is...well, it's not exactly compatible with fusion, but when he is ready, you'd better be sure that the resulting fusion will probably be the coolest kid on the block.

IDEAS: Okay so uh. Giffany is getting better, but being half her is going to give you some aspects of her personality she's repressing. So you're going to get really protective of people/things you love. Also she brings lightning powers and teleportation through electronics to the party.

But ALSO OF NOTE IS THAT her first fusion is spoken for. So she won't be doing anything fusion-wise until that happens.

IDEAS: Kyouko is part bear, so most fusions will probably have some aspect of that due to her nostalgia for Equestria. (That said -- for those who bond with her regarding something either particularly human or particularly tied to her pre-MLJ life, there's a greater chance that those bear elements will be tuned down a little). Kyouko's only current power she can bring to the fusion is shapeshifting, along with the empathy which most characters got at the end of the griffon plot.

I'll say this: Kyouko's easier to fuse with in Cosmos than she would potentially be in any other game I've played her in. Being in Magical Friendship Pony Land has mellowed her out somewhat. I'm open to a lot.

GEM: Sphalerite, red and in his left earlobe like a gauge.
IDEAS: Tran's extreme adaptability means he can fuse with anyone, but there's a catch: Tran is the Stacker Pentecost of fusion, he brings absolutely nothing of himself into a fusion. So if fusion is a conversation, fusing with Tran is a monologue. He can be coaxed into participating, but the more he participates, the less stable a fusion will be because his major power is shapeshifting and it's not . . . pretty shapeshifting. It's more like this (warnings for body horror, lots of screaming). Also the inside of his head is a clusterfuck so there's that.

Akoya's who shtick is beauty and grace and he'll do anything to achieve it though. And maybe through fusing with Tran, Link can lose himself to his own clustterfuck of a head- or more like his past reincarnations.

GEM: Cinnabar, on the inside of his left forearm.
IDEAS: He still has no idea that fusions are even a thing, so someone needs to tell him first and then get past his trust issues. Once that's out of the way, whatever fusion he's part of is going to be super furry with a huge sense of pride and maxed EVs in Special Attack and Speed. Right now, all he has is his divination ability, where he can use fire to see the future. Like Garnet, only on fire.

Once he gets a few powers back, he'll be able to bring Flamethrower and various psychic abilities to the table. No weapon summoning for now, though. He's still too used to his branch.

EXTRAS: Screw dancing he's just gonna set himself on fire and charge into the fusion because that's how real 'mons do it. I think.

IDEAS: WELL anyone without a great deal of self-control who fuses with Shun is likely to get a significant look at his traumatic war-torn backstory, so keep that in mind when suggesting fusions with him. It can likely be written around, but you'd need to discuss it with me.

People fusing with Shun will likely gain Super Srsns, a terrible fashion sense, half a winged fringe, a scarf of some description, and hard light powers along with a great deal of combat knowledge. Basically he's really good to fuse with in a fight, but he also has to trust you to be willing, and that can be hard. but then accidental fusions still happen

Character: Minto Aizawa mint_echo
GEM: Azurite, on her upper back between the wings of her Mew mark.

IDEAS: Minto has one or two issues with her humanity so her first couple of fusions might inherit that, but with some support and reassurance she'll get over it eventually and be able to fuse happier.

Characters fusing with Minto are likely to get cunning, bossiness, amazing hair buns, wings, and a strange affinity to birds. Also a fair bit of magical girl fighting experience against mutant monsters, so that should be a significant help.

Character Name: Pokey Minch
Gem: Barite, set in his throat

Ideas: Pokey hasn't gained any of his powers yet - though he'll be developing his first, Astral Projection - later this week, and his power set is fairly recon/defensive based, so as he gains powers he could add that to fusions.

But let's get down to the nitty gritty.

Pokey doesn't know fusions are a thing, and if he did he'd be bothered as hell by them. He wants to avoid getting as close to as many people as he can; he's let his guard down in the places he's been before and he's not looking to do it much again, though hey, the damage has been done that he can't continue being the sociopathic monster he had been. Still, won't be a fan of the idea, and the only way to get him to consider it would be a) trick him into it for some reason or b) manage to find a way to talk him into it, either by convincing him that by fusing with someone he could give them extra power needed in a critical situation or that by fusing he could find a way to either make himself useful or gain power. Either way, it'd take a bit at least for a while.

On top of this, fusing with Pokey could be a seriously unpleasant experience considering your fusing with a heavily damaged and unstable young teen. His anger issues and obnoxious egotism could easily present themselves as a side effect, but so could a crushing sense of worthlessness, survivor's guilt, and overwhelming need to prove oneself. Fusing too long might present some of his memories as well, which would range from unpleasant (memories of his evil actions canonically or his deaths or other horrific sights from Mayfield) or what should be pleasant memories that are tinged and ruined by guilt.

Needless to stay? Any fusion with him, at the moment, wouldn't be particularly stable either. And fusing would scare the shit out of him afterwards as well.

So of course, I'm eager to try it on him eventually.

(Why do I worry about a fictional character, you ask? Because I play Kyouko. I have had to worry about all the megucas at some point.)

REGARDLESS: I feel like, even given those conditions, Kyouko would be one of the few people he'd actually fuse with. Might happen in a battle, might reveal more to the other than they meant to... lots of possibilities here.

IDEAS: All Weiss fusions are elegant as fuq. Also her themes are ice and white so it'll probably have one of those somewhere and also some low-key empathy. Uh. What else . . . Her other powers are glyphs (shielding/platforms) and weapons hammerspace? She prefers classical ballroom dances? Fusions with her may end up using the royal "we." I DON'T KNOW. STUFF. I'M BAD AT THIS.

GEM: Astrophyllite, set between her collarbones

IDEAS: Anyone fusing with Marla would most likely end up androgynous as hell, and if there's any fighting that needs doing let's hope your character kicks ass, because Marla's shit at fighting. She's got a pretty chill personality, which might help balance out more emotional characters, but then she's also a huge dork and prone to flailing at the worst of times if she gets stuck with...well, a lot of things. Like albatrosses.

So far, her only power is enemy scan/analysis, which she uses by summoning her gem weapon, an oculus rift...virtual boy...looking thing. I'm planning on telekinesis later on, so that's moderately more useful?

Anyone fusing with her might find themselves imparted with secondhand knowledge of Pokemon, a lingering sense of "I don't know what the hell I'm doing", Buffy Speak and the ability to make stupid jokes in pretty much any situation. Probably the best way to explain what the hell goes on in this girl's head is when it's 3 AM and you're still online and suddenly everything is funny in the most surreal way imaginable.

She'd only really fuse with someone she'd consider a friend under normal circumstances, but can consider short-term fusions for the sake of a mission or whatever.

IDEAS: Anyone fusing with Fluttershy will probably pegasus traits of some kind - hooves, mane, tail, ears, fur, wings, what-have-you. Also be prepared for pastel colors. Her main powers that might be useful in fusion are her healing, shapeshifting, and singing-related abilities, although communication with animals would be pretty neat too.

Fluttershy's also gotten pretty good at hiding some of her guilt when it comes to fusing. But it's there, if her fusing partner is perceptive enough to it.

So, we've already done the Kyouko/Fluttershy fusion once in a meme, so I guess my main question here is how much of that we should consider canon. Thoughts?

I know I love it as a fusion dynamic. But then again, I worry that maybe I wrote it too much as a Kyouko-led fusion, because Fluttershy seemed a bit more like a supporting role in it? I dunno. Do you think that the balance needs to be tilted at all? (I can get a little neurotic about balancing things in RP sometimes.)

GEM: Alexandrite between his shoulderblades (inverted pendulum shape) that shifts between red/purple in lighting.

IDEAS: Thanks to Eudialyte, Yuto will be a little more willing to handle fusion with people, but he'll want to make friends first before trying that!

Warning-wise, Yuto has a lot of trauma and war memories, though he tries to keep a grip on it; it would still seep through the fusion at least minorly, so any fusion planning would have to take that into account. Otherwise, the fusion will gain darkness control as well as the ability to siphon off energy from enemies, and will gain at least some of Yuto's patience, intelligence, and will, though exactly how much and what we can work out together!

Also it will probably gain a terrible fashion sense too. And actual dancing is sure to end in hilarity because what is dancing all I do is say over the top speeches for monsters.

Labrys & Sonico

Character: Labrys
GEM: Cat's Eye between her shoulder blades.
IDEAS: So any fusion with Labrys will almost definitely end up with a funky robot body or at least some mechanical parts - it's basically an unconscious attempt to 'protect' the person she's fusing with by giving them a stronger body. Labrys also comes prepackaged with a shit-ton of combat knowhow and experience so even if you're not a particularly good fighter, a fusion with Labrys will be able to do no small amount of ass kicking.

The powers she'll bring to a fusion are flight, summoning an axe as her weapon, and generation and control over some pretty red ribbons. She's also previously fused with Yu, which might give you some ideas as to what fusing with Labby might entail.

Labrys is actually not that easy to fuse with -- she's still got some No Good Very Bad thoughts floating around in her brain that she doesn't want people to see. So fusing with Labrys would require her to be fairly comfortable with the fuse-ee. Fuser. fucking whatever y'all know what I mean.

Character: Super Sonico
GEM: Morganite, on the heart chakra
IDEAS: Since she is in no way a fighter, Sonico will almost certainly take the back seat in any fusion, providing more of a support role with her powers. Her original power of using her singing to sooth people's agitation would probably be boosted in the fusion and a useful side effect would likely be keeping the fusion calm and stable.

Also, you would very likely become an extremely pretty pink-haired anime upon fusing with Sonico i'm just saying sorry man i don't make the rules

Similarly to Labrys, Sonico probably won't be super easy to fuse with -- mostly out of shyness and a bit of initial discomfort with the idea of fusion in general. You'd have to be someone she trusts a fair bit before she'd let you give fusion a shot.

GEM: Alexandrite, smack dab in the middle of his forehead like here (forgive the use of a dumb doodle, it was either this or one with Bill in it)
IDEAS: Adachi has electricity, his shadow creatures and now a fog power that blocks things like empathy or other "sense" related powers (like Yu's Truth Sight).

I don't really have many ideas but I'm interested in trying to come up with some. Adachi himself is not as terrified of fusion now (if... if it wasn't for the side effects of fusing with Bill he would probably get addicted to it l-lmao...) but he's still apprehensive about it and will be reeeeally cautious about who he lets into his head.

So yeah he is very... Not Down To Fuse, but that doesn't mean it couldn't ever happen!

Also I said this before, but a side effect of fusing with Adachi means everything suddenly looks bleak and miserable because Adachi is pretty bleak and miserable (and a POV anime episode with him literally had dull, bleak colours everywhere)

Character: Percy Jackson
GEM: Blue Tiger Eye, shaped like a teardrop on his lower back.
IDEAS: He's already got waterbreathing and water summoning down. I'm thinking any fusions will actually have fish-esque features, like gills or webbing. Gem's bodies are projections, right? And this guy's a son of the sea at heart. You'll get a dazzling eye color no matter how badly the two eye colors mix- it'll still look good. You'll also get a lot of battle prowess, really good swordsmanship, ADHD and dyslexia, as well as the ability to read, speak and write Ancient Greek if you want to. Speech pattern will probably be full of pointing out the obvious ("Apollo's hot." "He's the sun god." "That's not what I meant.") and sass. Percy has an incredible talent of pissing off higher forces. He also happens to be pretty oblivious to people's emotions unless it's really obvious, but can be very perceptive, especially when he has to be. Percy is very sleep-deprived at this point and has memories of two wars, one in which he had to traverse literal hell, so any fusions will probably be tired and jumpy. They'll occasionally see things in shadowy corners. As a character had said once, he carries power but also a sadness, like he's seen his death and knows it's only a matter of time until it happens.

Lasting effects after de-fusing will probably be vague, blurry memories of red and shapes of monsters and… dead poplar trees, as well as a glowing form in a grand throne room, like bigger-than-Central-Station-grand. And will probably only raise a lot of questions about what the guy's done back home.

IDEAS: Subaru's powers mostly lie in his electrokinesis abilites. He has the potential to take it in a lot of directions, but currently they're slotted in a more scanning/support role. Being fused with a more offensively-minded gem might bring out more offensive abilities he might not make until later, like electricity generation/manipulation, possibly? He does have the ability to summon his gem weapon now, which is a pistol modeled after his Rock Buster, but he's not aware of that...which could result in funtimes, ha

Subaru is actually very used to the idea of fusing, even if he hasn't exactly heard about it yet. What with the whole fusing with an alien soldier from outer space to be able to utilize the alien's true powers himself thing. The mind-melding part of the fusion would throw him off, though, but otherwise he'd already really be pretty open to it!

IDEAS: I'm a little fuzzy on powers, since a lot of that would depend on who she's fusing with, since she doesn't have any of her canon powers right now and even those aren't especially strong. Anything with a technological bent would definitely fit, as would anything that plays on her new robonoid summoning capabilities. Appearance-wise, any Peridot fusion would include a lot of hard angles and floating body parts, usually hands or arms. Having things connected to other things is for suckers. Her hair situation is another beast entirely, and it's probably gonna mesh with her fusion partner's in really weird ways.

Fair warning, as things are right now, she's definitely not down for fusing. She's not really capable of that kind of emotional honesty, and any fusion she finds herself in is probably gonna be really short-lived.

Side-effects of fusing with Peridot include: undisguised disdain for the planet Earth and everything on it, a dwindling sense of loyalty to a distant interplanetary empire, and a highly inflated ego. Please consult with your doctor before using Peridot.
