[As if Yuuto could stop him anyway. He supposes it's a good thing that the sharing rooms has been helping too; then again, it's not as if Yuuto could use his room even if he wanted to.

...He tosses up the next question longer. On one hand, he'd like an honest answer, on the other, forcing an answer to it feels a little deceitful. It should at least be immediately obvious what he's talking about.]

...Do you really not blame me?

[Because if you don't, you should. Even he blames him, alongside Akaba and that fool from Synchro.]

[At that, Yuto just smiles, gently and quietly.]

Of course not.

[The response is immediate, almost demanding, because as far as he's concerned, there's absolutely no reason not to put some of the blame on him.]

You're not a mindless soldier, Shun. If you didn't come to help, you had your reasons for not doing that. They might have been wrong, it might have been a mistake, but you couldn't have known that then. You did what you thought you should at that point.

That's good enough for me.

[There's a telling silence - that answer doesn't put him at ease, but makes him more agitated. He should have known, should have come because he did know who Yuuto was fighting, and knew the risk that carried. Why the hell he'd let himself be suckered in by Akaba's words he'll never understand, but he'll be regretting it a long time.]

It shouldn't be.

[He only voices a little of that sentiment when he does reply.]

It is. And no matter how much you blame or hate yourself, I never will. You're the one true friend I have left in the world, and I won't lose you for anything. Especially not something like this.

[Dammit, he doesn't deserve this kind of lenience from Yuuto after a screw-up that bad. Another pained pause drags out before Shun makes any sort of reply.]

Hmph. Do what you want.

[While he seethes quietly.]

[He says it gently, knowing what Shun is thinking.]

You can be as angry as you want and think what you want about it, but... I trust you and your judgement, when it comes down to it. My feelings won't change.

[That is a damn bitter response there. Obviously Yuuto's continued faith in him is doing absolutely nothing to help.]

[There's nothing for it, though... he's not going to be mad at Shun just because Shun feels he deserves it. Instead, he just keeps smiling, giving his partner a firm, if caring, look.]
