Hi guys! My name is Stripe, and I am here to bring you Jade Harley from Homestuck! Her gem is Jadeite (surprising, I know) and right now she has the ability of Size Manipulation, which should hopefully be interesting. I'm using the version of her from the latest timeline, for those of you who actually know Homestuck and know all about the weird and ridiculous timeline shenanigans.

I am brand spanking new to Dreamwidth roleplaying (though not to RP in general) so you maaaay see me acting like a lost child on occasion, but I think I'm getting the hang of things!

I'm getting slightly less new to DWRP at this point, but I'm definitely still new to playing Homestuck; our Dave player and a couple of the others here finally prodded me into reading it a fortnight or so ago. So I'll kind of be sharing the newbie boat with you. ;3

Ahaha well, I've been slogging my way through the AO3 archives regardless; it's been a while since I've been in such a big fandom, but if there's anything super amazing you think I should see then why not.

Yeah, I know that feeling; I accidentally ended up wanting to play Davesprite before I'd actually read HS, so obviously he got put up as soon as I reached the canonpoint I wanted him from rather than when I'd fully caught up (which I have now).

There is a TON of stuff on AO3 though, and a lot of the great stuff is hard to find since it's older. I have sort of a short list of fics I AUTOMATICALLY REC ALWAYS that I will spare you for now, but this is one of my favorite Davesprite fics.

And I don't blame you! Davesprite's one of my favorite characters (after Jade of course). I'm super excited to see my favorite bitter bird boy here.

Yeah, I've mostly been searching by ships I like or randomass tags that might indicate Things of Interest To Me, but even some of the ship tags are colossal - ones like Dirk/Jake and Sollux/Eridan are bigger than the archives for most entire fandoms I've been in.

That was a pretty cute one, I might run through your bookmarks later.

I was tempted by one or two other characters along the way, but yeah, I thought of way too many fun things I could do with Davesprite's bitter existential angle and stuck with him.

Haha, I'm surprised you didn't mention DaveJohn there. It's, like, the Supreme Ship in Homestuck. But yeah, that also means that even if you're looking for a total rarepair/crackship, there will definitely be some fanfic for it, which is nice!

Yes, it should! Jade still went grimbark, but her memories of that are sort of fuzzy at the moment since it's before she met with Calliope, so she doesn't really remember much of Jane right now. So sort of back to square one with their interactions. It should be fun!
