Maybe you've been here for a while, or maybe you just got here. Either way, you're all in the same situation - you've been turned into a magical gemstone and stranded in a foreign world! And all you've been left with is the clothes on your back, stripped of all powers except one.

Clearly, you’ll just have to make the best of it.

How this works:

☆ This is a test drive for cosmographia, which means you should get a little familiar with the setting and premise.

☆ Otherwise, this is just meant to help you feel out how you may play and serves mainly as a chill interest gathering and get together kind of post! No app necessary, and you don't need to play in this post to apply - or vice versa.

☆ Everybody is welcome! There are no character limitations; pg au oc canon pigeon whatever. Just toss up a topcomment and/or jump any threads that pique your interest.

☆ Rules-wise: Be cool to yourself and others, and keep in mind the other game rules too.

☆ If you do apply to the game and are accepted, and you want to keep the CR, you may so long as what you did isn't setting breaking and everyone involved agrees.


YOUR OPTIONS:

☆ You find yourself in the Heart of a ruined temple. There is a large glowing gem that thrums with some kind of rhythm, and jewels scattered all over the room, kept in strange bubbles. At the very least, touching the large gem will give you a standard info-dump, but some of you might be a little cautious about touching weird luminescent gems. Good thing that there are other people there too!

☆ Or perhaps you already know everything there is to know, and are there in the Heart of the Ruined Temple to greet new arrivals. Or perhaps you simply had business there already, like storing away a corrupted gem from a monster, when someone new seemingly dropped in from no where.

☆ It's Farmer's Market day in the plaza of Waverly Bay! Perhaps you're there perusing the goods and strike up conversation, or accidentally bump into someone and get to know them that way. It's a fairly standard day.

☆ There's an event! You don't really know what else to call them - missions, perhaps? But something in the temple was triggered, and the glowy Heart gem has something new to "tell" you: If you want a new power, you should try telling other people two truths and a lie. Those who you interact with must try and divine the lie from your statements.

You have no idea how something this simple will get you a power, but hey.

[ Whoa. Okay, being in a strange new place: weird. Being in a strange new place with an indigo-colored gemstone embedded in your hand? Weirder. Hiro draws the line at telepathic conversations with giant floating gem things though. He eyes the Heart stone with some suspicion. Doesn't this place have the internet? Could he look stuff up that way? ]

Oooookay, I've obviously gone completely insane. Where the heck is this? And does anyone else think this is really, really weird?

[munches the rest of his burrito]

[ he just. sighs and finds somewhere to flop down for a second. ]

Like five minutes ago? Max? I'm thinking extradimensional portal except this place isn't nearly as trippy as the last one.

[But nothing says weird like talking to a candy-colored mythical creature.]

[ Yeah, okay, he's distracted by the talking pegasus in front of him. ]

... That's it, I've completely lost it.

Mm...I...suppose there aren't any of...my kind in...your world, huh?

[Surprisingly calm as she says that sentence.]

Uh, no? And even if there were, you're - like - pink? And talking? Hoooooly crap.

Mm...where I'm from, the way I look is...pretty standard, actually.

[But she's being rude, isn't she?]

[ Okay okay stop freaking out. Clearly this is some alternate universe malarkey with talking ponies. Reasonable, really. ]

Uh ... Hiro. Hiro Hamada. Sorry, you just - uh, you look like a cartoon or something.

...Y-Yeah, I...I actually get that a lot...

[ Obviously there's no shaking hands with a pony, so. He bows?? ]

[Hey HEY someone familiar and not dead and he's just casually walking up behind Hiro following his line of sight.]

No, it's really really weird.

[ Oh. Oh god. He freezes up, recognizing that voice but not believing it at all. Not even when he turns and looks up and sees his brother right there, as if nothing had ever happened. ]

Tadashi?

[He just smiles a little sadly. It totally happened and he's trying to Not think about it.]

Hey.

[Annnnd then the smile shifts a little because no, wait. He can sort of guess why he's here, but Hiro shouldn't? Hiro didn't run after him did he?]

Wait, how are you here?

[microbrobotics]

[ No explanations before hugs. That's the rule. Hiro rushes over to his brother and throws his arms around him, hugging tightly like he's scared to let him go. Because he is scared to let him go, now that he's here and apparently not a ghost or a mirage or - oh god. He's going to start hyperventilating if he lets his mind run away with him like this. ]

What? What do you mean? How are you here?

[ Because he sincerely doubts his brother found a hole the way Hiro did. ]

[After he got his info from the Heart gem, he sort of remembers the fire and a hole in there, briefly considered that was him dying like that's just What Happens, but now he's not sure.

Still. Hugs are great. He pulls him close and tight.]

Iiiii [hahaha 'died' that's not coming out of his mouth] ran into the hall and found a hole.

[ Does he dare believe that? They found a body, didn't they? Now he's not sure - it's not like much would have been left, anyway. Certainly they didn't have an open casket funeral for him. He leans against his brother for a moment, trying not to get too hopeful. ]

You did? You didn't try to save Callaghan?

[tadeadshi]

[He inhales sharply at that. Little brother always did make things hard asking tough questions. He lowers his voice a little, just for him.]

No, I-

I did. I tried.

[ Ah. That settles it then. The little flutter of hope in his chest just extinguishes itself. Well, it's not any worse than what it was before - and at least Tadashi is here. ]
