Maybe you've been here for a while, or maybe you just got here. Either way, you're all in the same situation - you've been turned into a magical gemstone and stranded in a foreign world! And all you've been left with is the clothes on your back, stripped of all powers except one.

Clearly, you’ll just have to make the best of it.

How this works:

☆ This is a test drive for cosmographia, which means you should get a little familiar with the setting and premise.

☆ Otherwise, this is just meant to help you feel out how you may play and serves mainly as a chill interest gathering and get together kind of post! No app necessary, and you don't need to play in this post to apply - or vice versa.

☆ Everybody is welcome! There are no character limitations; pg au oc canon pigeon whatever. Just toss up a topcomment and/or jump any threads that pique your interest.

☆ Rules-wise: Be cool to yourself and others, and keep in mind the other game rules too.

☆ If you do apply to the game and are accepted, and you want to keep the CR, you may so long as what you did isn't setting breaking and everyone involved agrees.


YOUR OPTIONS:

☆ You find yourself in the Heart of a ruined temple. There is a large glowing gem that thrums with some kind of rhythm, and jewels scattered all over the room, kept in strange bubbles. At the very least, touching the large gem will give you a standard info-dump, but some of you might be a little cautious about touching weird luminescent gems. Good thing that there are other people there too!

☆ Or perhaps you already know everything there is to know, and are there in the Heart of the Ruined Temple to greet new arrivals. Or perhaps you simply had business there already, like storing away a corrupted gem from a monster, when someone new seemingly dropped in from no where.

☆ It's Farmer's Market day in the plaza of Waverly Bay! Perhaps you're there perusing the goods and strike up conversation, or accidentally bump into someone and get to know them that way. It's a fairly standard day.

☆ There's an event! You don't really know what else to call them - missions, perhaps? But something in the temple was triggered, and the glowy Heart gem has something new to "tell" you: If you want a new power, you should try telling other people two truths and a lie. Those who you interact with must try and divine the lie from your statements.

You have no idea how something this simple will get you a power, but hey.

[Just. Reaches out and grabs someone by their arm.]

Hey. The rock said I could get one of my powers back by telling someone two truths and a lie. Wanna help me out with this?

[looks a little surprised at having her arm grabbed, but then brightens up at the question]

Of course! Let's get started!

[pauses for a moment while thinking about his statements..]

I'm friends with a doctor.

I survived being in the blast radius of a nuclear bomb when it went off.

My sister is a journalist.

[cardofhearing]

Oh! I've got this! Obviously, the lie is number two!

Nope, that's not it.

[.....stares at his gem. did he win.]

[cardofhearing]

Ehhh?!

[blacklightvirus]

[looks up at her. ...looks back at his gem]

[gem glows aaand.....! now some of his fingers are partially covered in a thin layer of pyrope.]

...You could try to guess again. I could already do that.

[peeling off the extra pyrope]

[cardofhearing]

...Then! Then, you're not friends with a doctor! A bomb...

He was just an ally.

[....abruptly turns and tries to run up the side of the mountain, and jumps off once he realizes he's not sticking]

Well, that's not it.

[...looks at Chihaya, obviously contemplating something]

Everyone comes from such amazing places...

[stares back???]

It wasn't so great when I left. Deadly viruses and nuclear explosions and all.

[aaand he scoops her up bridal style, with surprising ease! not that he thought it would be hard, but it was easier than it probably should have been]

Ah. Maybe that's it.

[Well he helped someone earlier with this, and that resulted with... fire... but he's willing to help.]

[... He actually has to think about that for a minute. He doesn't doubt that this guy probably has 'died' once, so it's probably one of the other two.

... Um... He has no idea what a journalist is. If he's made up an occupation/monster type, then it would be too obvious to be a lie, right?

So Link holds up one finger. Who actually has red hair in real life anyway?

[he briefly wonders if Link can read minds. did he CHEAT him out of his POWER...???

.....wait no. he'd probably get distracted by all the screaming if he could read his mind.]

He nods and then crouches to the ground, beginning to write something. His turn! His turn!

It's in a strange language, but this guy should be able to read it thanks to the heart gem.]

2. I've successfully cut a ring in half with my sword
3. I'm friends with Impa, the protector of Hyrule's ruler, who carries a sword that's bigger than I am in one hand.

[Alex is somewhat surprised. he hadnt expected the other to play the game, too!

considering that Alex is a... being who used to pick up and throw cars, he doesnt find the third too hard to believe, and the fairy thing is weird, but he himself could eat absorb people into his body while they continue living in his mind...

...grabs his chin and thinks about his options for several long moments. Alex you are overthinking things just pick something]

He chuckles and shakes his head. Nope! Proxi was indeed his friend who lived in him.

He crosses that option out helpfully and points to what is left.]

...too much so for words! after a moment he just. he just points to the next one down, the ring one, and looks at Link expectantly]

[Link nods! Yep! That's the lie! He's fought the spirit of the ring but never actually sliced the ring itself.

He'll clap. Yay!]

[huffs, trying to dispel remaining shock]

...Did you get a power?

[ The Doctor, of course, reacts as though being grabbed like this is the most normal thing in the world. ]

Ah, well, I always have time for a game! Do tell me what you're thinking.
