Maybe you've been here for a while, or maybe you just got here. Either way, you're all in the same situation - you've been turned into a magical gemstone and stranded in a foreign world! And all you've been left with is the clothes on your back, stripped of all powers except one.

Clearly, you’ll just have to make the best of it.

How this works:

☆ This is a test drive for cosmographia, which means you should get a little familiar with the setting and premise.

☆ Otherwise, this is just meant to help you feel out how you may play and serves mainly as a chill interest gathering and get together kind of post! No app necessary, and you don't need to play in this post to apply - or vice versa.

☆ Everybody is welcome! There are no character limitations; pg au oc canon pigeon whatever. Just toss up a topcomment and/or jump any threads that pique your interest.

☆ Rules-wise: Be cool to yourself and others, and keep in mind the other game rules too.

☆ If you do apply to the game and are accepted, and you want to keep the CR, you may so long as what you did isn't setting breaking and everyone involved agrees.


YOUR OPTIONS:

☆ You find yourself in the Heart of a ruined temple. There is a large glowing gem that thrums with some kind of rhythm, and jewels scattered all over the room, kept in strange bubbles. At the very least, touching the large gem will give you a standard info-dump, but some of you might be a little cautious about touching weird luminescent gems. Good thing that there are other people there too!

☆ Or perhaps you already know everything there is to know, and are there in the Heart of the Ruined Temple to greet new arrivals. Or perhaps you simply had business there already, like storing away a corrupted gem from a monster, when someone new seemingly dropped in from no where.

☆ It's Farmer's Market day in the plaza of Waverly Bay! Perhaps you're there perusing the goods and strike up conversation, or accidentally bump into someone and get to know them that way. It's a fairly standard day.

☆ There's an event! You don't really know what else to call them - missions, perhaps? But something in the temple was triggered, and the glowy Heart gem has something new to "tell" you: If you want a new power, you should try telling other people two truths and a lie. Those who you interact with must try and divine the lie from your statements.

You have no idea how something this simple will get you a power, but hey.

[There's someone else new here in the temple, though they don't seem to be doing the typical "look around confusedly" thing.

In fact he almost looked as if he had a headache, or were greatly upset about something. He hadn't left the Heart chamber since he had arrived, and yes he had touched the gem since then.

What he's doing is sticking to the outer wall, leaning against it with his arms folded, and eyes shut in a tight expression of irritation or illness, arms folded to complete it. He looks like he doesn't want to be bothered but between the weird markings on his face, the long pointed ears, and the brilliantly blue four-point star on his forehead, there was certainly enough to talk to him about.

If anyone wants to approach, that is.]

Star skips into the chamber, then notice some sort of discontent monster person over on the wall. Awww, no one should be sad they got taken to such a cool dimension!

She walks over, leans against the wall next to him, and imitates his pose. Then she leans over to him and whispers:]

Why are we being grumpy?

[One ear twitched lightly at the noises beside him. When she spoke, he answered without looking, without moving at all really.]

I don't like it here.

Aw, why not? This place isn't too bad as far as dimensions go. It's even got neato magic rocks! Who doesn't love magic rocks?

[He sighed shortly through his nose.]

That does nothing to help me like it any more.

Welllll, what is it about this dimension that you don't like?

Mostly? The fact I have this. [And a vicious point at the gem on his forehead. Which is a very fine gem, it's not exactly clear what he hates so much about it.]

[There's basically no way he missed the giant chunk of sunstone slightly off-center on her forehead.]

Is something wrong with it?

[Then the irritation went out of him, somewhat, with a harsh sigh and he looked off.]

Nevermind. You wouldn't understand...

[That narrow look on his face says he's not exactly going to explain. Not that easily, at least.]

[He looked at her hand. At her face. Back at her hand. Is he gonna-? Okay yeah, there he goes, shaking her hand. Took him long enough.]

A world dominated by AIs partnered with people. There's also a thriving robotics market, which is mostly headed by the company I- my parents founded and work at.

Ooh, robots are cool! Or... they can be. Sometimes they're jerks, too.

But I come from a dimension called Mewni! It's a magical kingdom, and I'm its princess!

[He looked at her with undisguised curiosity, blinking once.]

You're a princess?

Yup! My dad's the king and my mom's the queen, anyway. Pretty sure those are the qualifications in most dimensions.

Yeah, that's the general qualifications, as far as I know.

There are some dimensions where kings and queens are decided by combat, it can get a little messy there. Not that I can't handle myself in a fight, but you know. It's a thing. That happens.

Alright, your turn to ask a "getting to know each other" question.

Not that it matters here anyway, with abilities being reshuffled or locked. [He sounded bitter about that too, the same pout coming back for a moment.

Then he thought a few seconds, before shrugging.]
