Maybe you've been here for a while, or maybe you just got here. Either way, you're all in the same situation - you've been turned into a magical gemstone and stranded in a foreign world! And all you've been left with is the clothes on your back, stripped of all powers except one.

Clearly, you’ll just have to make the best of it.

How this works:

☆ This is a test drive for cosmographia, which means you should get a little familiar with the setting and premise.

☆ Otherwise, this is just meant to help you feel out how you may play and serves mainly as a chill interest gathering and get together kind of post! No app necessary, and you don't need to play in this post to apply - or vice versa.

☆ Everybody is welcome! There are no character limitations; pg au oc canon pigeon whatever. Just toss up a topcomment and/or jump any threads that pique your interest.

☆ Rules-wise: Be cool to yourself and others, and keep in mind the other game rules too.

☆ If you do apply to the game and are accepted, and you want to keep the CR, you may so long as what you did isn't setting breaking and everyone involved agrees.


YOUR OPTIONS:

☆ You find yourself in the Heart of a ruined temple. There is a large glowing gem that thrums with some kind of rhythm, and jewels scattered all over the room, kept in strange bubbles. At the very least, touching the large gem will give you a standard info-dump, but some of you might be a little cautious about touching weird luminescent gems. Good thing that there are other people there too!

☆ Or perhaps you already know everything there is to know, and are there in the Heart of the Ruined Temple to greet new arrivals. Or perhaps you simply had business there already, like storing away a corrupted gem from a monster, when someone new seemingly dropped in from no where.

☆ It's Farmer's Market day in the plaza of Waverly Bay! Perhaps you're there perusing the goods and strike up conversation, or accidentally bump into someone and get to know them that way. It's a fairly standard day.

☆ There's an event! You don't really know what else to call them - missions, perhaps? But something in the temple was triggered, and the glowy Heart gem has something new to "tell" you: If you want a new power, you should try telling other people two truths and a lie. Those who you interact with must try and divine the lie from your statements.

You have no idea how something this simple will get you a power, but hey.

Me too. He's one of the nicest people, eager as he is. I think people like him make it easier for people who are usually quite to open up, let themselves out there a little more!

Mine is a gem though, like we are now...but I wasn't. So how is this happening?

Mm...m-maybe the world just...needed more magical gems...?

If that's the case, that means things have gotten more dangerous, wherever we are.

Mm...I guess there would be a reason that people from other worlds are being brought here to become magical gems...

We should be careful...

We'll have to find out how to use our gems then.

If its that dangerous here...I'm definitely concerned. Untrained gems for people who never were gems to begin with is highly irregular.

Mm...hopefully we'll be able to...get the hang of them fairly quickly...

Do you have magic where you're from?

[She nodded.] Mm...back home, Equestria is filled with all kinds of magic. Most of the common ones could only be used by unicorns, though, and some types of magic and spells are more complex than others...

Did you have magic yourself? You don't seem too surprised by any of this.

Of course, where I'm from there's no such thing as pegasi or unicorns, just ponies.

Mm...not on my own. The only magic pegasi really have is to be able to control the weather, and...I wasn't much of a weather pegasus...

I...have used magic on occasion, when my friends and I were together and we were able to trigger it together. But I don't have magic myself...

Oh. Well, that's not a big deal. I mean, you stick with what you know. Being able to fly is still something special.

So its more of a "with your powers combined" type of deal then? Like Settai warriors! That's still pretty cool!

Mm...I...actually preferred to stay on the ground...but being able to fly is kind of helpful sometimes..

Um...I guess something like that...

I don't mean stay in the sky all the time, but I'll bet its helpful!

What powers can you form together?

Mm, I know...but even just getting around sometimes, I usually just...walk... [Or run.]

W-Well...before we were able to activate these items called the Elements of Harmony and use their powers to defeat evil...

We don't have the Elements anymore, but we were able to unlock their power with some help, and were able to defeat someone who was trying to steal all the magic in Equestria...

If that's what you prefer, I guess, but I'd at least try to fly whenever I could, you know?

WOW, that sounds intense. Are any of your friends from home here? Maybe they can help you with this. I...sorta wish my friends from home were here right now.

[She nodded.] Mm...that's what most people would prefer. I just...have some bad experiences with flying...

It...really was...but we were together, so we managed to pull through...

Mm...I...haven't seen any of them around yet...They...could come, though...

Oh. I get it. If that happened, of course you wouldn't want to do it too often.

[Having had a few bad experienced with some social apprehension, there was still some things that Connie wasn't too gung ho about herself].

There's a lot of people here, and we're all gems, so maybe that group harmony can happen here too, right?

Well, good luck there, for both of us! Finding some of my friends here would be nothing but a good thing!

[Fluttershy nodded.] Mm...being brought here from different worlds, being put into a strange but similar situation with each other...sometimes we need to draw strength from each other to get through it all. Right...hopefully we'll both find our friends... Until then, though...maybe...we could be friends? I-If...you'd like...

I think we'll need to. There are a lot of people who'll be scrambling to use their gem. They might not even be able to use it right away! So I think it'll be good to join together, teach each other what we know.

I hope so too.

[Darn it Fluttershy you are TOO PRECIOUS for Connie to feel remotely uncomfortable with!]

Of course we can be friends! If you want, we could even explore the town together after this! Strength in numbers, right?

As it is, I have to learn how to use this. Even when Steven was born with his gem, he was still learning how to use it properly. The wrong move on someone's part could be dangerous.

Sure! I'm getting pretty hungry. Oh gosh, what will we do for money?!
