Maybe you've been here for a while, or maybe you just got here. Either way, you're all in the same situation - you've been turned into a magical gemstone and stranded in a foreign world! And all you've been left with is the clothes on your back, stripped of all powers except one.

Clearly, you’ll just have to make the best of it.

How this works:

☆ This is a test drive for cosmographia, which means you should get a little familiar with the setting and premise.

☆ Otherwise, this is just meant to help you feel out how you may play and serves mainly as a chill interest gathering and get together kind of post! No app necessary, and you don't need to play in this post to apply - or vice versa.

☆ Everybody is welcome! There are no character limitations; pg au oc canon pigeon whatever. Just toss up a topcomment and/or jump any threads that pique your interest.

☆ Rules-wise: Be cool to yourself and others, and keep in mind the other game rules too.

☆ If you do apply to the game and are accepted, and you want to keep the CR, you may so long as what you did isn't setting breaking and everyone involved agrees.


YOUR OPTIONS:

☆ You find yourself in the Heart of a ruined temple. There is a large glowing gem that thrums with some kind of rhythm, and jewels scattered all over the room, kept in strange bubbles. At the very least, touching the large gem will give you a standard info-dump, but some of you might be a little cautious about touching weird luminescent gems. Good thing that there are other people there too!

☆ Or perhaps you already know everything there is to know, and are there in the Heart of the Ruined Temple to greet new arrivals. Or perhaps you simply had business there already, like storing away a corrupted gem from a monster, when someone new seemingly dropped in from no where.

☆ It's Farmer's Market day in the plaza of Waverly Bay! Perhaps you're there perusing the goods and strike up conversation, or accidentally bump into someone and get to know them that way. It's a fairly standard day.

☆ There's an event! You don't really know what else to call them - missions, perhaps? But something in the temple was triggered, and the glowy Heart gem has something new to "tell" you: If you want a new power, you should try telling other people two truths and a lie. Those who you interact with must try and divine the lie from your statements.

You have no idea how something this simple will get you a power, but hey.

Too true that Trixie is a showpony who doth entertain all who cross her path... 'tis also too true that you have made the correct choice. Just a warning, human: If you ever see a red artifact or one that goes by the name of The Alicorn Amulet, destroy it. Nothing is worth what happens when you use it.

Not a problem. I usually make it a rule to avoid cursed-looking objects when I see 'em. Uh... That, that hole thing was the exception though. But since it suckered everybody else in too, I'm gonna guess that one wasn't up to me.

..You should be getting some new power now, right? Unless that big heart lied to us.

Yes, it appears that our curiosity is what dragged us here. Trixie thinks not this to be a work of a certain individual back in her native homeland of Equestria, given that said certain individual's trademark is usually rainbows. It is still at a huge inconvenience for the mare gracing your eyes with her amazing, awe-inspiring presence.

So, what, you're some sort of pony-magician back where you're from? Does everybody else speak in third person there, too?

Maybe you've gotta concentrate on the gem thing to make it work. I haven't had much luck getting any powers to happen myself, but it sounds like whatever you got should be goin' through that.

Trixie speaks the way she does in order to convey the amount of importance she should be held at.

[In other words, she's egotistical. But she doesn't really seem as malevolent as certain triangles, right?]

The gem?

[She has a sapphire as a clasp to hold her royal blue cape in place, but Trixie doesn't think that that's what this human means. Instead, she lifts up her royal blue hat, revealing a unicorn horn. Right above it is some labradorite slightly jutting out.]

...How odd. Trixie's horn is usually the focal point of her magic.

[Egotistical maybe, but it's a level that he can handle.]

...Huh! [He's seen unicorns here and there, but it's still a bit surprising. He scratches his neck.]

I'm guessin' it probably doesn't work the same way anymore. But I dunno, just try.. doin' what you'd normally do? [uncertain hand gesture?]

[Trixie flops her hat on the ground in front of her and tries concentrating her normal way, trying to pick up her hat with her magic. ...It doesn't seem to work. She takes a breath and attempts to concentrate through the gem above her horn. It's slow going at first, but eventually, a pink aura lights up around the hat and soon enough, it lifts up from off the ground.

Once Trixie sees this, she gets excited. She forces it into a smug look.]
