Maybe you've been here for a while, or maybe you just got here. Either way, you're all in the same situation - you've been turned into a magical gemstone and stranded in a foreign world! And all you've been left with is the clothes on your back, stripped of all powers except one.

Clearly, you’ll just have to make the best of it.

How this works:

☆ This is a test drive for cosmographia, which means you should get a little familiar with the setting and premise.

☆ Otherwise, this is just meant to help you feel out how you may play and serves mainly as a chill interest gathering and get together kind of post! No app necessary, and you don't need to play in this post to apply - or vice versa.

☆ Everybody is welcome! There are no character limitations; pg au oc canon pigeon whatever. Just toss up a topcomment and/or jump any threads that pique your interest.

☆ Rules-wise: Be cool to yourself and others, and keep in mind the other game rules too.

☆ If you do apply to the game and are accepted, and you want to keep the CR, you may so long as what you did isn't setting breaking and everyone involved agrees.


YOUR OPTIONS:

☆ You find yourself in the Heart of a ruined temple. There is a large glowing gem that thrums with some kind of rhythm, and jewels scattered all over the room, kept in strange bubbles. At the very least, touching the large gem will give you a standard info-dump, but some of you might be a little cautious about touching weird luminescent gems. Good thing that there are other people there too!

☆ Or perhaps you already know everything there is to know, and are there in the Heart of the Ruined Temple to greet new arrivals. Or perhaps you simply had business there already, like storing away a corrupted gem from a monster, when someone new seemingly dropped in from no where.

☆ It's Farmer's Market day in the plaza of Waverly Bay! Perhaps you're there perusing the goods and strike up conversation, or accidentally bump into someone and get to know them that way. It's a fairly standard day.

☆ There's an event! You don't really know what else to call them - missions, perhaps? But something in the temple was triggered, and the glowy Heart gem has something new to "tell" you: If you want a new power, you should try telling other people two truths and a lie. Those who you interact with must try and divine the lie from your statements.

You have no idea how something this simple will get you a power, but hey.

Just arriving

[There was a small noise in the temple that day. At least it started off small, but as time went on, it grew louder and louder until anyone in the vicinity could hear a rather worried sounding yelling coming from a hole higher up on the wall.

and then a small, poofy haired child flew out of it, doing a rather unceremonious flip in the air before landing hard on his backside. It wasn't hard enough to do any real damage, but it was enough to get a little hiss of pain out of him as he rubbed the afflicted area.]

Ssss...that smarts...

[It took Steven a few minutes, but he eventually caught sight of his surroundings and everything looked awfully...he wouldn't say familiar, but definitely Gem-like. It was enough to get him up on his feet and moving forward at least.]

Uh...Garnet? ...Amethyst? ...Pearl?? Is anyone here? Come on guys this isn't funny!

[Chie's gotten into the habit of checking in on the entrance chamber once or twice a day, just to see if anyone new has arrived. She's hoping to meet her friends from home, but she's more than open to making new friends too. So she's present just in time to watch poor Steven tumble through his hole and land right on his rear.]

Whoa, geez! We really oughtta put some mattresses down in here or something... You okay, kid? [She dashes over immediately to help him to his feet.]

[Oh hello! Steven wasn't sure who this new person was, but she seemed friendly enough if she was offering him a hand up, so he took it and got up on his feet, using his free hand to wipe the dust off his pants.]

Thanks ma'am, but I'm fine! Falling out of space and back to earth was a harder fall.

[Said with complete nonchalance.]

Um...do you know where this is? I've never seen anywhere like this in Beach City before...

Out of... [Okay, Chie instantly has a feeling that this boy's got some stories to tell. Some of her stories are pretty crazy too, but...]

Beach City? Never heard of that place before... Uh, this's the Gem temple in Waverly Bay. It's like... another world, or something. We all fell through holes and ended up here, just like you just did.

Huh...

[That was definitely weird. He'd never heard of Waverly Bay before...and the fact that it was just some other world where others had come in the same way he had...well, it wasn't the weirdest thing he'd ever heard so he was quick to shrug it off.]

Well, it's okay. If this is a Gem Temple that means there should be a teleporter around here I can use to get home! I'm practically the teleport master!

Teleporter? I dunno if--hey, wait a minute... [She was going to say she didn't know if there was one here, or what it would look like if it existed, but something more important occurs to her.]

Are you saying you know about the gems already? Like, you didn't come from a world where nobody's ever heard of them?

Ooh, new guy!

[And TADA! It's a pink, talking pony with a VERY pink, VERY curly mane bounding up to him! And a blue, balloon-shaped stone in her chest, but that's not TOO noticeable, right?]

[Well...that was new. Steven considered for a minute that he might have hit his head on the way down through that hole...but a few seconds of staring and the realization that he himself was part alien gem made the fact that a pink pony was talking to him seem considerably less weird.]

Oh, hi! Are you from around here? ...Wherever here is?

[That and it's not like he doesn't have experience with pink animals and females with pink, curly hair, right?]

Nnnope! I've been here- and "here" is in Waverly Bay, by the way- for a teensy WENNSY bit over three weeks! I'm from Ponyville, which is back in Equestria!

[Nope. He'd never even heard of either of those places, so he was even more confused than he'd been before hand. On the other hand though, this new friend certainly had an infectious attitude of happiness and he felt himself smiling despite the situation.]

Huh...I've never even heard of Waverly Bay or Equestria. Could you tell me about them?

[And before he forgets his manners any more, he'll pull his brain back in enough to remember he was supposed to actually introduce himself to new people.]

Oh yeah! Right. I'm Steven Universe, it's really nice to meet you!

[Holy guacamole, someone offering their name first! (And trust me, Steven, you're FAR from the rudest person she's met so far here.) Pinkie just grins and holds out a hoof.]

I'm Pinkie Pie! Nice to meet you, Steven! [Then her face lights up even more.] WAAAAIIIIT a minute, are you Connie's Steven?!

[It was always a bit surprising when someone new was arriving at the temple. And though it was mostly the same, the sound of screaming as someone fell always startled Fluttershy a little.

But snapping out of it quickly, she headed towards the sound, arriving just as the boy landed.]

O-Oh my gosh...! Are you all right...?

I'm fine...just a little sore is all.

[Steven wasn't really paying attention to who he was talking to as he was in the middle of standing up...but once he caught sight of Fluttershy, he stopped for a second. Only just a second though; talking ponies weren't even the weirdest thing he'd seen this week and whoever this was seemed nice enough to him, so she'd get a smile and a wave.]

Um, hello! I'm...Steven, Steven Universe! Who are you? And...do you know where I am?

[Cause he sure didn't.]

[She hesitated a moment. Steven Universe...where had she heard that name before.]

It's nice to meet you, Steven...My name's Fluttershy...

This is the temple where...all new Gems first come to...

[Wait.]

Steven...oh! Do you know Connie?

So this is a Gem place...maybe they just haven't shown me this part of the temple yet.

[He scratched his head for a second...but the mention of Connie was enough to snap him out of his pondering almost instantly.]

I do! Do you know Connie too?!

[...Steven, Steven please. At least he sounds really happy and excited??]

. . .are you by any chance Steven as in Knows Connie Steven?

And as a follow up: Are you okay?

Yeah! To both of those...but, how did you know I'm Steven?

[He managed to get up and dust his pants off, just a little bit confused by the person in front of him. All in all he seemed like a nice guy, and he wasn't all that put off about him knowing his name; maybe he just had future sight like Garnet? Either way, he'll hold out his hand for a shake!]

Who are you though? I don't have future vision unless Garnet lets me use it.

You knew all the names of those Crystal Gems people she talks about. Nobody else but someone from her world would do that. Unless I guess there was an alternate world that closely resembled her world....

Then again there's no telling if you are or not until you meet up with Connie. But I don't think it's likely that you're not her Steven. And she'd be bummed if you weren't...

[Don't worry Dipper, he only caught about half of what you said because he was thinking about Cookie Cats, but he got the jist of what you were going for.]

Hi Dipper, it's nice to meet you! Do you know a lot about this place? What can you tell me about it?

[Because that was priority two for him right now before he set off to look for Connie. Sometimes you had to tackle priorities out of order in order to handle them properly after all.]

Okay, I seriously need to meet whatever other Amethyst everyone is yelling for.

[Because two and too sound the same, only Amethyst would be able to decide what he actually meant by that, but he gives the new person a smile and a wave none the less.]

Hi, I'm Steven! Do you have any idea where this is? And who else is yelling for Amethyst?

I'm Princes Amethyst of Gemworld, technically. But that's kind of a mouthful, so...

[She taps the gem just below her throat, and her fancy purple outfit is replaced by much more modern and normal clothes. Magical girl de-transformations are not quite as impressive as the other way around.]

And well... there's been Connie and Pearl so far. I think that's it?

So...you're from the Gem Homeworld then?

[Because that's certainly what it sounds like to him all things considering. Maybe there were Gems that had the same kind of gem? There was still a lot he didn't understand about gems and their race, so his guess was as good as any.]

It's nice to meet you Amy! And you meet Pearl and Connie too? Do you know where they are??

[Because familiar faces would be great right now! No offense to Amethyst two.]
