TEST DRIVE
Maybe you've been here for a while, or maybe you just got here. Either way, you're all in the same situation - you've been turned into a magical gemstone and stranded in a foreign world! And all you've been left with is the clothes on your back, stripped of all powers except one.
Clearly, you’ll just have to make the best of it.
How this works:
☆ This is a test drive forcosmographia, which means you should get a little familiar with the setting and premise.
☆ Otherwise, this is just meant to help you feel out how you may play and serves mainly as a chill interest gathering and get together kind of post! No app necessary, and you don't need to play in this post to apply - or vice versa.
☆ Everybody is welcome! There are no character limitations; pg au oc canon pigeon whatever. Just toss up a topcomment and/or jump any threads that pique your interest.
☆ Rules-wise: Be cool to yourself and others, and keep in mind the other game rules too.
☆ If you do apply to the game and are accepted, and you want to keep the CR, you may so long as what you did isn't setting breaking and everyone involved agrees.
YOUR OPTIONS:
☆ You find yourself in the Heart of a ruined temple. There is a large glowing gem that thrums with some kind of rhythm, and jewels scattered all over the room, kept in strange bubbles. At the very least, touching the large gem will give you a standard info-dump, but some of you might be a little cautious about touching weird luminescent gems. Good thing that there are other people there too!
☆ Or perhaps you already know everything there is to know, and are there in the Heart of the Ruined Temple to greet new arrivals. Or perhaps you simply had business there already, like storing away a corrupted gem from a monster, when someone new seemingly dropped in from no where.
☆ It's Farmer's Market day in the plaza of Waverly Bay! Perhaps you're there perusing the goods and strike up conversation, or accidentally bump into someone and get to know them that way. It's a fairly standard day.
☆ There's an event! You don't really know what else to call them - missions, perhaps? But something in the temple was triggered, and the glowy Heart gem has something new to "tell" you: If you want a new power, you should try telling other people two truths and a lie. Those who you interact with must try and divine the lie from your statements.
You have no idea how something this simple will get you a power, but hey.

[As Lucca looks curiously about the area, she's approached by a tall, thin, tan or light brown skinned young man, with dark brown undercut hair and a goatee-beard. The way he's dressed is a bit odd, since it's not often you see people in yellow and black suits with brick patterning on the sleeves and lower coat, not to mention the bow tie, skinny top hat and patch covering one of his eyes.]
This is the Temple! I'd call it something like a home base!

So they ARE magic! Is this temple dedicated to them? I've never seen so many magic stones at once before.
[She and her friends had found several on their own adventure, the biggest and most potent of which had been the Sunstone. But those stones had been pretty scattered across the world and ages.]
And what do you mean by "home base?"

[But her hand goes to her chest as she gets defensive, and brushes something distinctly hard under her shirt, centered just below her collarbone. Hard and definitely not supposed to be there.]

[It's. Round and stonelike, sure enough, and without thinking she pulls her shirt collar out, moving her scarf aside with her other hand so she can glance down at it.]
The Sunstone...!?
[Well, a much smaller version, but otherwise unmistakably identical to the legendary stone they'd retrieved, charged, and made weapons out of.
...That's about when she realizes she's yanking on her shirt collar in front of a strange man, flushes, and hastily readjusts her clothing.]
W-well! I think you should probably tell me exactly what's going on here. I was exploring and went through this hole and... the way back is closed now, isn't it?

'Fraid so! Sure, I can give you the low-down!
Basically, we've all been summoned to this dimension and had our energies - life forces, souls, whatever ya wanna call 'em - contained inside our gems! Why?! We have no idea!
By the way, this means your body's now a construct! The REAL you is in the gem! So don't worry about getting "fatally" injured, as long as your gem is alright you'll be fine and regenerate another body, good as new!

[Oh look, she actually listened to that explanation, and moreover looks fascinated by the idea, putting a hand to her chin thoughtfully.
She seems to catch herself fairly quickly, however, suddenly looking up, shaking her head.]
Wait, are you sure you don't have any idea why? Isn't there anyone from this world around who might know? I'm guessing if there's a bunch of people who've been summoned here, no one knows how to get home yet, but... there must be reasons why this is happening.
[Said with the confidence of someone who fully intends to seek out said reasons, and who might even be rather enthused by the prospect of searching for them.]

Positive! The only hunch I've got barely makes any sense! Apparently, the only Gems native to this world are--
... Let's just say they aren't in any position to help us!
All I know is whatever the reason is, it's something unbelievably important! Whoever brought us here, they've gotta be a God or someone with at least that much power! Otherwise they wouldn't have been able to bring me here!
