Brief Downtime + Updates
Hey guys, Gena here for an announcement! First off, the game is going to be experiencing some slight downtime from now until October 9th. During this time, we are closing the apps page and holding back on the mod events. So yes, unfortunately there isn’t going to be one happening this month.
The good news is, we’ll be spending that time making some much-needed adjustments to the game based on your guys’ suggestions. Some of which is now in place!
And finally, I know that we recently mentioned that we need a bit of help with some of the mod duties, though we didn’t specify what we needed help with. So after some discussion with the other two mods, this is what we settled on. If you're interested in helping out but can only do one of these things, that’s fine!
And that’s it! This post got a bit long-winded, but I wanted to try and be as clear as possible.Let me know if you have any questions, and if you want to get in touch with any of the mods elsewhere, here is our contact info!
The good news is, we’ll be spending that time making some much-needed adjustments to the game based on your guys’ suggestions. Some of which is now in place!
- The FAQ and the Premise pages have been updated. The most important information in there is that the game will now be running at a 1 IC day=1 OOC day ratio. You can still include the “Day such and such” in the When category, since it makes things a bit easier to keep track of.
- Also, starting at the end of this month, we will be doing Activity Checks in the traditional way. As in, we’ll make a post to the ooc community, you comment with a link to your completed activity requirement, and you’re done! No more google spreadsheets, since that caused problems for some players.
- A Hiatus page, since there is no more AC spreadsheet. Pretty straightforward and simple!
- An in-game Calendar. It will be updated on a bi-monthly basis, and include both the dates for mod events and player events, which can be suggested in the comments below (like our existing player plots page). We’ll also include the option for player events that will require monsters or NPC usage, which we can accept or deny.
- A page cataloging active NPCs, and the option to apply for your own. This is going to be the LAST thing we’ll be setting up, as it’s the least necessary at the moment and a fairly intensive one to establish properly! But basically, this will allow players to control some of the townsfolk that exist in Waverly Bay. This option will only be given to members who have been involved with the game for at least 5 months. The NPC applications will not be as extensive as your typical app, and the AC requirement will be lower. But this probably won’t be happening until everything else is set up and the game is properly back in motion, I just wanted to give everyone a solid heads-up about it. I’ll bring it up again in a month or so!
And finally, I know that we recently mentioned that we need a bit of help with some of the mod duties, though we didn’t specify what we needed help with. So after some discussion with the other two mods, this is what we settled on. If you're interested in helping out but can only do one of these things, that’s fine!
- A second app reviewer. The current system is that one of us goes over the apps, and then asks for a second opinion from the other mods on ones that are questionable. But a second pair of eyes couldn’t hurt, especially since we’re not familiar with a huge number of canons and sometimes have trouble judging the quality of someone’s characterization. The apps are reviewed every Friday and Saturday.
- List updates. Particularly on the Taken page when the new apps come in, and when drops are added after the AC period passes.
- Another player to handle the monsters or NPCs during events, either when one of us can’t do so at the time, or when the event is too big and we need to work together. Events typically begin with one post during the first week of the month, and wrap up in another post at the end of the month.
- Calendar updates! Since this will be a new thing we’re doing. The calendar will updated bi-monthly, so the first and third week of every month.
And that’s it! This post got a bit long-winded, but I wanted to try and be as clear as possible.Let me know if you have any questions, and if you want to get in touch with any of the mods elsewhere, here is our contact info!

Just a little thing that occurred to me recently: could we link the Taken page to the main profile? Currently you have to go through the "Applications" page to find it.

And 127 = Sept. 22nd, 128 = Sept. 23rd, 129 = Sept. 24th and so on?

Also, where is the character resources page?
And how does the AC in traditional ways work? This is my first game after all

Traditionally, Activity Checks are posted at the end of the month by the mods into the ooc community. Everyone leaves a comment below with links to their completed activity that they've done in the past month, like a new post or a long thread. We'll explain more once we post it up!

Alright! Thanks! I get it now. Ichigo mun also explained it for me.
While I have your attention, I was just wondering about like, financial things. Because Akoya has started making business deals with the arcade and the tavern, and i forgot to ask if it's okay.

And yeah, that's totally fine! Interactions with the townspeople and how characters make their money are a-ok to handwave! Especially since Akoya has been pretty involved with handling money to keep the temple funded, it makes sense!

And yay! Hooray for evil teenagers having financial power!

I remember there was a page like that...

The regular Player Added Locations is linked at the very bottom of the World Info page, under 'Other Details'.
Or did you mean something else...?
