TEST DRIVE - Part 3
Maybe you've been here for a while, or maybe you just got here. Either way, you're all in the same situation - you've been turned into a magical gemstone and stranded in a foreign world! And all you've been left with is the clothes on your back, stripped of all powers except one.
Clearly, you’ll just have to make the best of it.
How this works:
☆ This is a test drive forcosmographia, which means you should get a little familiar with the setting and premise.
☆ Otherwise, this is just meant to help you feel out how you may play and serves mainly as a chill interest gathering and get together kind of post! No app necessary, and you don't need to play in this post to apply - or vice versa.
☆ Everybody is welcome! There are no character limitations; pg au oc canon pigeon whatever. Just toss up a topcomment and/or jump any threads that pique your interest.
☆ This post will remain open until it begins to approach 5000 comments! Then a new test-drive post will be made.
☆ Rules-wise: Be cool to yourself and others, and keep in mind the other game rules too.
☆ If you do apply to the game and are accepted, and you want to keep the CR, you may so long as what you did isn't setting breaking and everyone involved agrees.
YOUR OPTIONS:
☆ You find yourself in the Heart of a ruined temple. There is a large glowing gem that thrums with some kind of rhythm, and jewels scattered all over the room, kept in strange bubbles. At the very least, touching the large gem will give you a standard info-dump, but some of you might be a little cautious about touching weird luminescent gems. Good thing that there are other people there too!
☆ Or perhaps you already know everything there is to know, and are there in the Heart of the Ruined Temple to greet new arrivals. Or perhaps you simply had business there already, like storing away a corrupted gem from a monster, when someone new seemingly dropped in from no where.
☆ It's Farmer's Market day in the plaza of Waverly Bay! Perhaps you're there perusing the goods and strike up conversation, or accidentally bump into someone and get to know them that way. It's a fairly standard day.
☆ There's an event! You don't really know what else to call them - missions, perhaps? But something in the temple was triggered, and the glowy Heart gem has something new to "tell" you: If you want a new power, you should try telling other people two truths and a lie. Those who you interact with must try and divine the lie from your statements.
You have no idea how something this simple will get you a power, but hey.

He didn't realize when the change happened, that he was now in some temple and no longer going through a hole in an alley in Iwatobi, but it happened and he gripped the strap on his school bag. What the-?!
"Where am I?" And was that a huge crystal heart in the middle? Was he is some sci-fi movie now? He sincerely hoped it was just Nagisa playing another terrible prank on him because this was not how he imagined himself spending his afternoon! He gulped and stepped a little closer, looking around. It... didn't seem too menacing. Just... strange, really. But he was no longer at home and that gave him a greater cause for concern!

Fortunately, Rise had already touched the gem and gotten updated on this place. So it's with quite a bit more confidence than she'd had when first arriving in an unfamiliar world that she speaks up.
"Um, excuse me?"
That would be a small voice speaking up from somewhere below. If Makoto finally notices her, he'll see a young girl somewhere in that so-called 'tween' range, sporting fluffy twintails and a cautious but friendly smile.
"Did you just get here too?"

The gentle way he approached and spoke went a long way towards chasing those nerves away. With less reservation behind it, her smile grew much brighter.
"Um, we're in the Temple right now! It's... well..."
She hesitated there, turning to glance towards the giant gem in the room. That would be much easier than trying to explain everything herself.
"... Actually, I just got here too. But if you touch the gem, it'll tell you a lot of stuff about this place."

He nodded to her and straightened once more, walking over to the gem. He was hesitant, of course, and he looked back at the young girl briefly as he held his hand out. It took a few moments to steel himself before he finally touched it.
"...whoa," And just like that, it was over and he had quite a bit of information to work through. "...this honestly sounds like a dream."
He couldn't be in some place like this! Could he?

"So you've never been to another world, huh?"
This was the third time for Rise, she'd kind of gotten used to it by now.
"This one doesn't seem so bad! It's kinda weird being gems, or whatever, but it's not as weird as being ponies."

"This can't be happening," He muttered, needing desperately to sit down. Makoto was just a normal teenaged boy, his only extraordinary thing was that he was really good at backstroke and teaching kids to swim! Not... not a gem that fought monsters! Oh god, there were monsters. He sat down, not at all sure how to take this all in. "And you're okay with all this?"

She really didn't know yet. Like she said, she'd only just gotten here a little while ago. She was still kind of processing some of it too.
"I don't think it'll be as bad as some places."
She sounded like she had a particular place in mind. Somewhere she'd been. No matter what this place was like, she was at least pretty sure it wouldn't be as bad as Exsilium.

She was trying to reassure him, but it was almost like she was trying to convince herself too. Once, she would have been able to say that with absolute conviction. Now, it was a little more of a struggle. But she still tried her best.
"And we're not alone! So maybe it'll work out!"

Even if he wasn't sure his friends would arrive or were already here. Makoto was always willing to make new friends though, it was just hard without Haru. But he had to try.

She'd been able to make it this far with support from her friends, some old and some new. So far, she's optimistic that she'll be able to rely on this new acquaintance too.
"Oh, I'm Rise! What's your name?"
Before he could answer yet, she smiled and added, "If we're gonna be friends, I can't just not know something like that!"

[Small girls must like Makoto because here is a short, young-looking girl. However, her height wouldn't be the bizzare thing about her, that would be everything else. The girl looked like she had walked straight out of a JRPG, a staff by her hip, and clothes that suggested regality. The girl had silver hair too, curled unnaturally, and showcasing two, small, white fluffy wings which twitched as she walked.]
Would you like some assistance, sir?

[She smiles a little at him before gesturing to the staff]
Have you touched the Crystal Heart yet?
[She gestures the rock with the shoddily made 'Touch me' sign]
It'll save most of the explanation, and then I can provide you with assistance.

[He wasn't sure how a crystal could provide him information, but it didn't seem harmful. After a moment or two of hesitation, Makoto touched the gem and was suddenly given... a lot more than he thought he would.]
...this is a lot. [He was... a gem? How? Why?] Am I no longer human?
[Oh god, he wasn't human? Makoto looked rather freaked out.]

[She sees his expression and she bites her bottom lip. Her dangerous-looking staff comes out and she waves it.]
Summon Aqua!
[And then, floating in front of Makoto, is a small orb of what appeared to be water. It emits a small, healing pulse, hopefully calming Makoto down]
