TEST DRIVE - Part 3

Maybe you've been here for a while, or maybe you just got here. Either way, you're all in the same situation - you've been turned into a magical gemstone and stranded in a foreign world! And all you've been left with is the clothes on your back, stripped of all powers except one.

Clearly, you’ll just have to make the best of it.

How this works:

☆ This is a test drive for cosmographia, which means you should get a little familiar with the setting and premise.

☆ Otherwise, this is just meant to help you feel out how you may play and serves mainly as a chill interest gathering and get together kind of post! No app necessary, and you don't need to play in this post to apply - or vice versa.

☆ Everybody is welcome! There are no character limitations; pg au oc canon pigeon whatever. Just toss up a topcomment and/or jump any threads that pique your interest.

☆ This post will remain open until it begins to approach 5000 comments! Then a new test-drive post will be made.

☆ Rules-wise: Be cool to yourself and others, and keep in mind the other game rules too.

☆ If you do apply to the game and are accepted, and you want to keep the CR, you may so long as what you did isn't setting breaking and everyone involved agrees.


YOUR OPTIONS:

☆ You find yourself in the Heart of a ruined temple. There is a large glowing gem that thrums with some kind of rhythm, and jewels scattered all over the room, kept in strange bubbles. At the very least, touching the large gem will give you a standard info-dump, but some of you might be a little cautious about touching weird luminescent gems. Good thing that there are other people there too!

☆ Or perhaps you already know everything there is to know, and are there in the Heart of the Ruined Temple to greet new arrivals. Or perhaps you simply had business there already, like storing away a corrupted gem from a monster, when someone new seemingly dropped in from no where.

☆ It's Farmer's Market day in the plaza of Waverly Bay! Perhaps you're there perusing the goods and strike up conversation, or accidentally bump into someone and get to know them that way. It's a fairly standard day.

☆ There's an event! You don't really know what else to call them - missions, perhaps? But something in the temple was triggered, and the glowy Heart gem has something new to "tell" you: If you want a new power, you should try telling other people two truths and a lie. Those who you interact with must try and divine the lie from your statements.

You have no idea how something this simple will get you a power, but hey.

[ Oh for the love of... Is her senses dulled too? Well, her senses may not be as strong as they were, but that voice sure sounded familiar. She walks around the big gem, and tries to get a look at Cirno. ]

Come out now, I heard you back there...

No! You don't wanna! I'm no one important!

[There is a bit of frantic in her voice now. That was definitely Remilia's voice.It would have been a bit harder to catch her...if Cirno wasn't trying to fly to get back on her feet and to help balance.

Although once she notices it's not working, she's just going to sit there, a confused look on her face.]

...Why isn't it working...?

Cirno. It must be you, but you look... taller.

No escape for the fairy. Or former fairy, to be more exact. Remi feels sluggish and all that, but hopefully she can grab Cirno.]

Don't look at me, something took our powers!

[It's easy to grab her and Cirno doesn't even try to get away. She's talking in that information and there is a bit of a upset look crossing her face.]

I....I just got those back too. and I don't want to be here. I should be home with Sis and Big brother...

[Yet, When she finds out Rise is here, she'll change her mind. And now she realizes that Remilia had noticed one key difference. Her knuckles are all scarred up and her hair is slightly longer.]

..Yeah..I'm taller. It's a long story...but you do too. Why?

What do you mean you just got those back? I didn't know fairies had siblings.]

[ Remilia doesn't say anything about Cirno's hands, but they get a raised eyebrow. ]

...I've always been this tall.

We don't...I got adopted by my sister in the first place we met, where they took power and memories from us. When we met back up in the second place, she made sure I was okay and her husband did the same.

[Slight explanation. Not the full thing, which is fairly obvious but still.]

Nuh-uh...You were always a bit taller then me..now you look a LOT taller..and older.

[ Remilia releases her, and was quite surprised at how different Cirno seemed to be acting. ]

That's nonsense, you must be confused.

[ Or just a different Remilia than the one Cirno's met. ]

[Here's a good thing- Cirno understands the whole different universes thing. She pauses and blinks.]

...Is this like when Yuuka knew a version of me who was a adult? Because I know you....and there was a small version of you who was my roommate at the school.

[Going to hold her arms out to balance now.]

Man..Now I gotta remember how to walk again.

...A lot of what you're saying is almost unbelievable. ...If I wasn't here all of a sudden.

[ It doesn't feel a dream or anything. ]

At least this place is nice and let's you be yourself....or take memories away. Last place turned me into a pegasus pony.

[Yeah...Not even going to go into the whole 'Blank Flank' thing. Going to try walking a little bit for a moment.]

You kinda get used to not knowing where you are going after the first time...or the fact it's believable. I dunno much about it but whatever wants you somewhere will take you if you like it or not...

[There isn't a faint bit of fear..or bitterness in her voice as she says that last bit...never!]

Sounds almost... unbelievable.

[ Not that she hasn't seen some strange things in her time, but this is new. ]

So, you don't quite seem as... dumb as I expected.

Yeah..but it happened.

[Although that last bit makes her stop and puff out her cheeks a bit. A sore spot for her but...Cirno figures it's best to behave for now.]

Happens when you learn a lot of stuff over a few years not being home and all. I went to school...in two both places and was doing okay. I passed Poisons and other classes.

[...Yes. Someone taught her Poisons.]

Do I need to worry about being poisoned if I upset you?

[ This was different, though. A Cirno that had started to learn things, passed classes? Looks like fairies can learn after all. And she's going to ignore the thought of being stuck here for years. ]

I meant no offence, of course. You're quite a change from the Cirno I know. [ If Cirno expected Remi to pick on her, she'd be mistaken. It's partly because of Remilia's gem, and the fact she had a chance to grow up. ]

Nah...I only was there because the leader of my school was there..and got mad if I didn't at least try. Besides, We made her mad every round anyways so..Best not to upset her more.

[Cirno calms down a bit, lightly tapping her bare foot behind her, a little carry over from being a pony..the foot tapping at least.]

...You're not the first to notice that...A lot of things have happened...and I can't go back. I don't belong anymore.

[A pause and she's not looking up from the floor. She sounds...almost fragile..broken. She's healed a bit emotionally but..there is still work to be done and it could be heard in her voice. It fades quickly as she scrambles to cover it up.]

W-Well...I shouldn't keep talking..maybe we should find out what to do?

Don't you mean... headteacher?

[ Well. That's a tone she certainly never heard Cirno have at all... ]

...You can stay close if you want. I want to check out this big crystal... It doesn't look like a normal one.

[frozenmemories]

..I dunno. She was..mean and taught with fear.

[One day, Cirno might open up and explain why but for now she'll clam up and try to hide it..somewhat.

For now she'll nod.]

Okay...Maybe it's important? Like...the Elements in Equestria or the Towers? Although with a lot less people around to explain?

[ Well, Cirno seemed to be changing that subject pretty quickly... ]

[Yeah..She's fairly obvious. Once she got comfortable it would be easier to hide..but for now, she'll play along.]

I guess it's a good idea...Let's do it.

[Going to reach out, yet not touch, watching Remilia out of the corner of her eye. She'll actually do so once she does, just because of what could go wrong..]

[ A fairy. Showing caution. And it's Cirno of all fairies. Now she's seen everything. ]

...You got smart. I'll give you that.

[ Remilia reaches out too, touching the gem... and getting surprised by the infodump. ]

[A part of Cirno wants to retort but for now..She'll keep it to herself. She's learned to be somewhat mature...But for the moment, she'll touch the gem as well, looking a mixture of confused and upset.]

...I don't like this.

[scarlet_devil]

[ Remilia is a bit distracted by the information... And she even unconsciously touches her gem, which rests just under her collarbone. ]

...Bloodstone? Hmm...

Is that what you are? Huh...I guess it makes sense. Kinda cool to be honest.

[Going to keep her's quiet because..can't really see it.]

Did the crystal tell you what yours was?

[ Well, she was okay with bloodstone... ]

Uh huh...Larimar. But I can't see it.

[Yeah....not going any further on that.]

I dunno about it though...
