TEST DRIVE - Part 3
Maybe you've been here for a while, or maybe you just got here. Either way, you're all in the same situation - you've been turned into a magical gemstone and stranded in a foreign world! And all you've been left with is the clothes on your back, stripped of all powers except one.
Clearly, you’ll just have to make the best of it.
How this works:
☆ This is a test drive forcosmographia, which means you should get a little familiar with the setting and premise.
☆ Otherwise, this is just meant to help you feel out how you may play and serves mainly as a chill interest gathering and get together kind of post! No app necessary, and you don't need to play in this post to apply - or vice versa.
☆ Everybody is welcome! There are no character limitations; pg au oc canon pigeon whatever. Just toss up a topcomment and/or jump any threads that pique your interest.
☆ This post will remain open until it begins to approach 5000 comments! Then a new test-drive post will be made.
☆ Rules-wise: Be cool to yourself and others, and keep in mind the other game rules too.
☆ If you do apply to the game and are accepted, and you want to keep the CR, you may so long as what you did isn't setting breaking and everyone involved agrees.
YOUR OPTIONS:
☆ You find yourself in the Heart of a ruined temple. There is a large glowing gem that thrums with some kind of rhythm, and jewels scattered all over the room, kept in strange bubbles. At the very least, touching the large gem will give you a standard info-dump, but some of you might be a little cautious about touching weird luminescent gems. Good thing that there are other people there too!
☆ Or perhaps you already know everything there is to know, and are there in the Heart of the Ruined Temple to greet new arrivals. Or perhaps you simply had business there already, like storing away a corrupted gem from a monster, when someone new seemingly dropped in from no where.
☆ It's Farmer's Market day in the plaza of Waverly Bay! Perhaps you're there perusing the goods and strike up conversation, or accidentally bump into someone and get to know them that way. It's a fairly standard day.
☆ There's an event! You don't really know what else to call them - missions, perhaps? But something in the temple was triggered, and the glowy Heart gem has something new to "tell" you: If you want a new power, you should try telling other people two truths and a lie. Those who you interact with must try and divine the lie from your statements.
You have no idea how something this simple will get you a power, but hey.

this sure went well
[So Asuka screams. Loud, shrill, high-pitched, the kind designed to draw attention and drill through the ear drums. Of course, it's just a normal scream.]
[Then, because it's been such a huge help already, more yelling.]
Get away from me! Someone, anyone, there's a crazy, murderous psychopath after me! Someone arrest her! Lock her up! Get her away!
This has got to be the greatest failed game yet.
[The screaming is so loud it hurts her ears so she covers them for a moment and pouts, which is still using Asuka's face so that makes it even more surreal. Some other gems are probably looking out of their rooms at the noise but when they see it's Harley they either go back to what they were doing, or stick around to watch the fireworks.
Finally when she can handle no more of it she reaches behind herself once more and in a flash of light produces a cupcake aiming it for Asuka's mouth before she throws.]
Oh cram some frosting in it will ya! I'm reformed ya close minded baby!
CUPCAKE FIGHT
[Dead on. Her mouth's already open for shouting, so it catches easily against her teeth; she has to reach up to remove it. That's a...]
Hey, don't you throw things at me!
[She hawks it back, even as her free hand goes to wipe the mess of frosting from around her mouth.]
Why should I believe for even one second that a weirdo like you is reformed?!
Cosmos is a serious game for serious characters
Because you have NO proof to the contrary! Innocent until proven guilty ginger!
[She takes aim and pops the cap spraying purple soda her way]
You need to get a grape on yourself! Soda that is!
and Asuka is always well-mannered and polite
Uuugh! This isn't the time for stupid puns, you creep! Stop spraying me!
[In fact, Asuka tries to get in close now, hoping to get a grip on the bottle herself so she can turn it back on Harley.]
How about you get a taste of your own medicine?!
She's the hero this city deserves, but not the one it needs.
[The spray turns into Harley's face making her shift back into her original form, still pale and two toned but at least she doesn't look like you anymore]
It's so sticky sweet! The bubbles tickle my noooooose!
[Not the worst thing she's had sprayed on her at least.]

Hah! Serves you right for trying to spray me with that stuff!
[As the spray dies down to more of a fizzy dribble, she shoves the bottle back at Harley.]
Taking my face, threatening me with a hammer, being so weird in the first place... You should be glad this is the worst I did.
[Who was screaming and ready to run for their life earlier? Not her, nope.]

Sure, I'll apologize for scaring you as soon as you apologize for calling me nasty names. That's no way to behave just because you can't believe that my life is amazing.
[She's also not sharing that towel with you until you apologize either so enjoy dripping dry.]
