TEST DRIVE - Part 3
Maybe you've been here for a while, or maybe you just got here. Either way, you're all in the same situation - you've been turned into a magical gemstone and stranded in a foreign world! And all you've been left with is the clothes on your back, stripped of all powers except one.
Clearly, you’ll just have to make the best of it.
How this works:
☆ This is a test drive for
cosmographia, which means you should get a little familiar with the setting and premise.
☆ Otherwise, this is just meant to help you feel out how you may play and serves mainly as a chill interest gathering and get together kind of post! No app necessary, and you don't need to play in this post to apply - or vice versa.
☆ Everybody is welcome! There are no character limitations; pg au oc canon pigeon whatever. Just toss up a topcomment and/or jump any threads that pique your interest.
☆ This post will remain open until it begins to approach 5000 comments! Then a new test-drive post will be made.
☆ Rules-wise: Be cool to yourself and others, and keep in mind the other game rules too.
☆ If you do apply to the game and are accepted, and you want to keep the CR, you may so long as what you did isn't setting breaking and everyone involved agrees.
YOUR OPTIONS:
☆ You find yourself in the Heart of a ruined temple. There is a large glowing gem that thrums with some kind of rhythm, and jewels scattered all over the room, kept in strange bubbles. At the very least, touching the large gem will give you a standard info-dump, but some of you might be a little cautious about touching weird luminescent gems. Good thing that there are other people there too!
☆ Or perhaps you already know everything there is to know, and are there in the Heart of the Ruined Temple to greet new arrivals. Or perhaps you simply had business there already, like storing away a corrupted gem from a monster, when someone new seemingly dropped in from no where.
☆ It's Farmer's Market day in the plaza of Waverly Bay! Perhaps you're there perusing the goods and strike up conversation, or accidentally bump into someone and get to know them that way. It's a fairly standard day.
☆ There's an event! You don't really know what else to call them - missions, perhaps? But something in the temple was triggered, and the glowy Heart gem has something new to "tell" you: If you want a new power, you should try telling other people two truths and a lie. Those who you interact with must try and divine the lie from your statements.
You have no idea how something this simple will get you a power, but hey.
Clearly, you’ll just have to make the best of it.

he's so cute i can't take it
[you are getting another affectionate headpat. goodness gracious, you even have verbal tics, just like a precure fairy...]
Would it be easier if I carried you?
can't stop won't stop
Thank you, you're very kind, zura. But you don't have to, I can walk on my own, zura.
[Komasan is a man.]
no subject
In that case, would you like some company? You seem new here, I'd hate for you to get lost.
no subject
[Why, he is just the happiest little marshmallow right now.]
Okay then, let's go, zura!
[And without even waiting for an answer, Komasan takes her by the hand and begins to lead the way.
He has no idea where he's going.]
no subject
then it occurs to her he's just sort of. picked a random direction. he seems so happy though, she doesn't want to injure his pride...]
Was there anything specific you were looking for?
no subject
I wanna find the soft cream, zura~
[He doesn't even have to stop and think about it, just blurts it out instantly. What can he say, he knows what he wants.]
no subject
Is that like ice cream?
no subject
[He drools just thinking about it.]
no subject
but wasn't there a little ice cream stall around? she remembered seeing one somewhere. the weather in waverly bay's usually nice enough to warrant it...]
Let's find it together then!
[oh, wait. right.]
My name is Michiru, by the way.
no subject
I'm Komasan, it's very nice to meet you, zura!
[NOW BACK TO ICE CREAM.]
I'm normally really good at finding the soft cream, but everything here is so monge~, I end up getting dizzy if I look too hard, zura.
[Hence the wandering.]
no subject
Don't worry, I know we can find it together. I know there's an ice cream vendor around here somewhere...
[at least waverly bay is used to the weirdness.]
Are there other things you like too? Besides soft cream?
no subject
[Provided it isn't trying to hurt him in some way.
...Although he supposes he should be a little more specific.]
But I really like, a-ah... um, oh! Coffee, zura! And...massages, zura! Aaaaand, um, my pet, Kuro- Oh! And Komajiro, of course, zura. Ooooh, and bugs, zura!
[A good majority of these, of course, can't be found at a market.]
no subject
[she's going to politely start taking the lead. if she remembers correctly, the ice cream stall is around here...]
no subject
[And maybe for the better, Komasan doesn't bring up Kuro again. It's...it's a smart vacuum. No one wants to hear about that.
He doesn't even seem to notice that she took the lead, just follows along like it's what they were doing this whole time.]
O-Oh, but you can still be friends with your brother, zura! We sure are, I didn't mean to make it sound like we didn't get along, zura.
no subject
[she wonders briefly if komajiro is as cute as komasan is, before shaking that thought away.
aha, here we are! it's a shabby little ice cream stall, but there's definitely a soft serve machine.]
See? I told you we'd find it together.
no subject
Monge~! I can't believe we found it so fast, zura!
[As he stands up next to the stall, balancing on his tippy toes, he looks back to her in complete awe. Those big eyes are literally sparkling.]
I would've never found it without your help, thank you so much, zura!
no subject
I'm glad to have helped! Ah. but do you have enough money?
[...maybe she should have asked that first, um.]
