Halloween carnival plotting post!

Greetings, friends! First off, a little apology for being kind of nonexistent in this game lately - between schoolwork and participating in Smash Ronpa, I've had a lot on my plate. Thankfully I'm getting a better handle on things now, so I'd like to talk Halloween-themed mingle posts!

With the recent success of his magic show Bill has decided to do something special for the month of October to further compete with Stan and the Mystery Shack. He's been working with the owner of Waverly Bay's theme park to deck it out for the Halloween season. Coming soon... The Carnival of Nightmares!
The post will be largely based on/adapted from one I did in a friend's musebox last year, since I had a ton of fun with it and wanted to do it again this year, this time in Cosmos!

Now since this will be a relatively big event for the theme park, Bill is going to be asking people around town if they'd like to come work for him at the carnival! There's lots of different positions that need to be filled, like selling tickets, working the food stalls, operating rides, keeping things clean, or just being general entertainment! The only qualification necessary is having a costume, since EVERYONE at the park during this event has to be in costume, worker or attendee. Even if you have a ticket you won't be let in unless you're wearing a costume! So if your character would like to show off their talents either in the sideshows or on stage, here's a chance for that! :D

So yes, if you would like to have your character work at the carnival please let me know! Otherwise feel free to use this post to plot out anything you might like or want to happen during this mingle! Right now I'm thinking I'll make the post this Friday, October 9th, and have it last ICly until (which means the theme park will go back to normal) on November 2nd, for three reasons: one so everyone can start tagging it this weekend, two because this is also when apps re-open so any new players/characters will be able to participate, and three because I'd rather get it up before October 12th, when if you know anything about Gravity Falls you probably know what's happening then. |D

RICK IS HERE FOR THIS. He loves Halloween bullshit, and can absolutely plot rides and attractions that are way too terrifying for children. He will come dressed in a grey wig, cracked glasses, and a totally random combination of clothing from the thrift store.

in addition to the roller coaster, carousel and ferris wheel, last year's musebox post also had a Tunnel of Love-style ride and a Funhouse. I'm sure Rick could make either or both of those addition beautifully disturbing

Shun won't be anywhere near this unless someone physically drags him in most likely, but Davesprite might be interested in work of some kind to actually make some goddamned money for once - he'll totally do a DJing performance of some sort.

Though uh. He might argue he doesn't need to wear a costume given he's already part bird and a sprite. If he's needled into it he might just put on a lazyass halo because hey people have joked about him being an angel before rite.

since we never got to have a labyrinth-esque ball Akoya will be holding a fundraising masquerade dance. Anything else, Akoya is willing to do. He loves organising things and he likes showing off.

Oh man that's a great idea! It'd probably have to be held somewhere besides the park grounds though, since I'm not sure where in a theme park could serve as a ballroom, but yeah they can totally organize that and have it and the carnival be connected events! Maybe one gives you a discount for the other?

Jappleack won't be working there, but she'll sure be coming to it because hell yeah. If there's a carnival in town to fuck about at, she's for it.

Pokey though...

Pokey is all over Halloween. Dude loves and thrives on a holiday essentially, and if he could get a job even doing something minor there, he'd take it. Because it's all about the spirit of the season.

That, and, well. Pokey likes Bill, or wants to. Dude knows how to cause trouble, which Pokey does enjoy. At the same time, Pokey actually does like Connie and wants to help the kid in anyway, so he's planning to use this as an opportunity to spy on Bill if he can in order to see if he actually is planning anything malicious, though he'll never feel any real need to try and stop or legit bother Bill unless he sees that the guy is doing something legitimately wrong.....that could hurt people. Physically. Parting people from their money or freaking them out is entirely different.

Luckily for Pokey, parting people from their money and freaking them out is more what Bill's about these days! Since he's gotten his fill of Pines Family Torment for now. Bill likes Pokey too and would be more than willing to offer him a position working the carnival! Which might be a very good opportunity for him if he's looking for "inside info"~

YES The Beast should definitely be there. he'll fit right in especially since all the best stuff at the carnival happens at night. also so people can tell him his costume is awesome while he goes "??????? what costume......."

I am most likely going to drop Kaj, but Marla will be there and enjoying the various sights that are to be seen. Probably not selling anything since she doesn't have any skills that easily translate to carnival working, though, but if I think of something that can change at the last minute.
