Halloween + Hungry Eldritch Being = ??? Plotting Post!

So Yggy's have been having trouble with the whole "I'm human and I don't have my powers thing oooo." Mostly this means that she's been struggling with finding food (and has probably been stealing water from hoses). But the Festival of Horrors has given her an idea.

Yg'baladoth's Room of Terror~~

Er, what that basically means is that Yggy's going to convert her room into more or less a waking nightmare. She's doing this because 1) she's seen things that pretty much no mortal should ever see, 2) she's really good at mimicking sounds to the point that things will sound 100% authentic, 3) she's hungry as sin and thinks this is a good way to make $10, aaaand 4) she's kind of curious to see what you all will respond to a scary simulation.

So how this will go is that this Friday I'll post up a log for the fun house. Characters who want to participate will (hopefully pay) her and go in with her into her room. THEN THE FUN BEGINS... which is also to say that if you want to participate/have something special I am totally open to ideas. As of right now I'm thinking of different levels of fright going from "average haunted house" all the way to "experience the things that exist in the great beyond."

This is mostly here to see if there's anything special you'd want to do/have done to your characters ahead of time? :3

Davesprite will totally come in all chill and cool and then oh god not eldritch abominations again, the horrorterrors were bad enough--
(seriously though, eldritch abominations will likely get a very...interesting response from him given he used to be a prince of Derse and could receive counsel from them)

I'd almost ask for Shun to get badgered in by someone and then have to relive a traumatic memory or some such, but given the extent of Yggy's powers currently I'm not sure that would be viable. If she has any creepy, cacophonous, sadistic laughter in that sound arsenal of hers, though, then we might have something...

Yay feeling a bit homesick, Davesprite? Though her horrorterors are a biiit more antagonistic than the ones in Homestuck. Less mysteriously benevolent, more "I'll destroy you and eat our your eyes." But that is definitely a thing I wouldn't mind trying to see where it goes~

As for Shun, no, traumatic memories aren't really in her arsenal. She just has sound power and more or less the most realistic reality simulator ever devised. That being said... Yggy more or less has heard of/been every single sound in existence. She can prooobably pull something off.

Yeah, if I remember right he's kind of freaked out by the ones in HS anyway even if he could take counsel (and I can't imagine the four months in a null session or his extensive spritely knowledge of the game would help). So horrorterrors of that kind would potentially be quite entertaining to deal with.

The sound thing could definitely work; Shun has traumatic memories associated with the sound of a large group of people laughing sadistically (and also if she went up the alley of crowds of people screaming which would be a bit more generic, he'd likely be incredibly unsettled as well). But yeah, this would give him PTSD flashbacks, so I'd only go there if you're cool with that.

Of course Connie is going to do this. She's already had an encounter with Yg'baladoth, and as she's said, she wants to support local businesses. If anything, it'll give her more things to record, and more to be hanging open mouthed and speechless about!

I can see two good possibilities for Connie. One would be an actual glimpse of Yggy's home... which would be kind of hard to get out of her because she doesn't really think people can take it.

The second would be the sounds of Connie and Dipper in the grotto of theirs as a reminder that where demons are involved, there is always somebody listening or seeing.

Ok, those both sound like some really good choices! For coolness sake I want to go with A though. It sounds the most interesting, and I'd like to definitely get her trying to understand what she is looking at.

Would you like someone determined to befriend the horrible abominations to come by? Cause. Frisk will be freakin' terrified. But they'll still try to befriend the things in the darkness.

W-Well, Frisk certainly would be able to stand his ground, but the monsters that she create are actually just her memories of the monsters of her home. So, they wouldn't actually be real and frankly they'd all act about as dangerous as they would be in real life. Except not actually there so they'd just pass through Frisk.

She can definitely get crazy laughter, though! Not Flowey's... because that would require her actually hearing it once and knowing to reuse it on Frisk.

HMMM well i guess since they haven't run into each other yet, yggy wouldn't really have a sense for any of her personal fears SO. ANYTHING THAT YOU THINK IS SUFFICIENTLY SPOOKY IS A-OK IN MY BOOK
