Genex Tournament Win/Loss and Plotting

Hey all, to keep things tallied, please refer to this post when you are posting your win-losses per day. Those who are participating in the Genex Tournament will need to report their win-losses and the amounts of medals they have won throughout the day. Be reasonable if you're handwaving, remember to talk to your opponent if playing against a human player, and those who can duel have fun!

This is the plot post and please post here for your days.

Character:
Win/Loss:
Number of Medals Won
Running Total of Medals

Remember there are also NPCs playing, the whole town is basically playing within reason. So please have fun and remember to be good to your opponent.

So Akoya is running a very messy Zefra deck that will be fixed to how Drag made it later. So he's gonna win some but lose some too. Anyone wants to duel pretty angels?

Kebi will be glad to go up against Akoya's deck! Would you rather play it out or...? I know a way we can get it set up if we want to play it out easily.
pearl_chevalier: (Of course im right ^^)

I'd love to play it out! What do you have in mind?

Well, I've played out duels in MLJ before with Trixie and Littlepip, but that was me keeping track of cards in notepad. Usually, it's just keeping a list of things such as what's in your hand, graveyard, field, etc. in the notepad and just rolling a dice to see what cards we pick from the deck and such.

We can either do that or there's this thing called YGO Pro we can use to allow us to record a duel. The only problem is that you might not want to download it. The good thing about it is the rules are automated. What do I mean by that?

Well, there's this place called Dueling Network online where you don't have to download anything. The only thing is that the interface might be a little confusing and that you have to manually change your lifepoints and whatnot

I got a DN account with Akoya's deck on it already, and I got YGOPro as well! I just need to input the deck, and then just transcribe the duel!

Link is probably going to spend most of the tournament riding his bike rather than actually dueling, but hey, anyone want to take a shot?

I have to check with Yugo's mun as to whether or not Yang would have gotten her bike yet but she will totally race and/or duel Link.

Racing I can do but we'd have to hand-wave any actual dueling though because I don't know how any of that works...or even really what Yang has in her deck. Just that she has one. XD

[personal profile] justhavecourage 2015-11-10 10:28 am (UTC)(link)
RIDING DUEL RIDING DUEL! ahahah

Well, we can easily have a script or just handwave as usual. Any preference for a winner?

RIDING DUEL!

And nope! In a general motorcycle race I think Yang would probably win just since she's an experienced biker, but she's a definite novice at Duel Monsters still and balancing a strategic card game while driving is something she's never done so it's totally up in the air.

They're both novices and Link has only been biking and dueling since he met Yugo, so I'm fine with him losing. Maybe we should pick an archetype for Yang that fits her personality. I can see her with

Ooo, yeah, Battlin' Boxer might suit her! Thanks! :D

The funny thing is that Yang plays card games...kinda under-handedly (or at least that's what I'm figuring if the way she plays Remnant: The Game is anything to go by lol). She obviously likes trap cards and she seems to enjoy risky cards with worthwhile rewards in particular, which...idk how to translate that into Duel Monsters deck-wise. XD I guess if there's anything close to a "Gamble" sort of deck, that'd suit her well too.

Kebi's going to run an Iron Chain mill deck and is absolutely new at the game. He doesn't really care about winning or losing the tournament as he views the game as entirely recreational to himself. So he's up for any challenge that comes his way.

I can plot, reply to starters, or type them, but I'm gonna be unavailable for scripting/threading duels until hopefully the 16th at the latest. Waiting on a new laptop charging jack. 8T

I'm gonna be making a completely unbiased vote here. Because skill-wise, Yugo trumps all of these newbies.

Link
Kebi
Yang

It's alright. Hopefully the next will be better

1st- Yugo because most skill
2nd- Yang (competent in traps)
3rd- Akoya (skilled but mostly inactivity)

1. Yugo
2. Akoya
3. Kebi (Maybe he got beginner's luck?)

I'm willing to try this out sometime in the future again if you feel like it

I still plan on back-tagging into this and I definitely would not mind participating in something like this again but my picks for winners would be:

1) Yugo
2) Akoya
3) ...Idk maybe a tie between Link and Yang or Kebi and Link or some combination like that of the other participants.
