Quick Note - Changing Keys!

Hey guys!

So...wow, that was a night, huh? As you can see, we're undergoing some changes, and things are definitely a mess right now, but we wanted to let you know that things are okay, the game is up and running and should stay that way. Many of the things addressed in the (now unfortunately) locked post are still going to happen:

First of all, we will be implementing a monthly HMD post for both players and a How's the Game post. There will be an opportunity there for players to bring up their concerns with how the game is run, as well as a place for people to receive critique on their playing. This is a general forum for people to express their opinions and concerns, and to talk openly with the mods and each other about improvements. We'll be holding off on the HMD until the dust settles, but we'll be having a How's The Game post as soon as possible for obvious reasons.

Second, we will have to push back November’s event to next month. Again, we want to focus on your welfare, and after all that’s happened this weekend, it’s apparent that both the mod team and the playerbase are exhausted. Elaine has offered her time and services to run a lighter Thanksgiving-themed mingle. More details on that will be posted in the next couple of days.

As for new news...we have a new mod team! Considering the drama that's gone on here, it was necessary, and if anyone needs a rundown of what happened, why it happened, and somesuch, please feel free to contact any of our new mods below:

Elaine (Jane, Thida, Asriel's mun) is still a mod, and in addition to contacting any of her character's journals, her plurk is here. She is on EST.

Claire (Sonico's mun) has stepped up as a mod, her plurk is here. She is on GMT, from the UK.

Lynsey (Adachi's mun) has also stepped up, her plurk is here. She is on MST.

Luc (Maya's mun), while not in-game at the moment, has also stepped up, and his plurk is here. He is also EST.

Please, please, PLEASE feel free to contact any of us at any time! And with that being said...we'd like to know when you guys want to have that How's The Game post! Please voice your opinions in the comments - we're thinking sooner rather than later, definitely some time this week, but we do know emotions are raw right now and we're all very, very tired from the events of this weekend.

Just thanks so much again for all tat you did. That was really crazy but we're grateful that you all scrambled so quickly and got things back in order. As for HMD, it may be best to do it maybe in the upcoming weekend, it'll give people time to cool down, focus on holidays, and let you guys have time to settle. That is only my opinion however. But do what you feel is best, you've done enough for today. Thank you again and looking forward to more Gem craziness~

Sooner is definitely better, but not immediately. Everybody needs a moment to just breathe and let the dust settle, I think.

That said, thank you for all the hard work all of you have done to keep this game up and open. You handled it like pros and y'all deserve a nice rest and a pat on the back.

As for the How's The Game post, I'm not sure what the best time to post that would be. I'd suggest maybe mid-week, but with the holidays, I'm not sure if that's viable.

It might make sense to do the How's the Game post at the beginning of December? That way it could start a nice precedent of having them at the start of every month, and give time for the dust and holidays to settle down.

Hey guys, Lynsey here just chiming in more personally! In addition to my plurk, please feel free to contact me on aim at swirlixes if you need anything. I still have some of my own personal stuff going on so I may not add everyone who adds me on plurk right away until it all gets settled but seriously feel free to contact me whenever you'd like.

In addition, midweek is the best time for me to be able to par-take in the HTG, both as a mod and as a player, since I work weekend evenings. I'd like to be there for the HTG (for obvious reasons) and I personally feel the best time is a happy medium between when players want it and when we as mods are all available. That being said if people would prefer the weekend, I won't mind missing most of it for player convenience.

Thanks for all the work you put in to recover the game, you handled it really well and it's good to see we've got a new set of mods ready to keep the game going into the future.

I'd agree with having the How's the Game post somewhere at the start of December, to give things a little bit of time to calm down and also to have it at a regular, start-of-the-month spot.

Thanks for stepping up and getting everything back up and running! It's a relief to see a solid mod team in place already.

Also, 'nthing the idea to have the How's the Game post at the beginning of December. A week and some change should be plenty of time for people to unwind! I do like the idea of having it be mid-week as well.

Welcome to the new mods! I only heard a little about what all happened, but I still want to thank you guys for all your efforts to keep this game going. I can't wait to see where we go from here with all of you.

I also agree that having the HTG post in December would be a good idea.
