How's The Game
Welcome to Cosmographia's first "How's the Game"! This is essentially an open forum for discussion about where to take the game from here and anything that might need changing. A lot has happened in the past week and going forward we feel it's more important than ever to have a discussion like this.
This is not a place for criticism of specific players or characters. This is purely about the game itself. Please save player specific criticisms for the upcoming How's My Driving. Any disregard for this or out of hand conduct will be frozen or deleted.
We are inviting not just all current players (old and new) to participate in this discussion but also past players that have left and new potential players considering the game; we encourage everyone to pitch in their two cents. That being said, since this is the game's first HTG we are currently going to do it without anon or sock journals (for future HTG this may change).
Like said this is a completely open forum. We have a list of topics we want to discuss (listed below), but after all those have gone up players are completely free to start their own threads with anything not covered by the other sections.

Player Plot: Council of Ricks
So! The idea is that a certain shattered gem, because the bird family didn't bubble it, is able to reform -- partially. Instead of making one full Rick it makes several parasitic beasties that each houses a shard of Rick's gem. These shards naturally want to reform into a full gem -- which is where your characters come in! They will infect whole gems and clumsily attach themselves to their host gem's stone, making them impossible to remove safely. They will then slowly begin to take over them, taking control of their body and changing their mannerisms to be more Rick-like. This can be played as serious or as funny as you want: while it has the potential to be dark and Toggs and I will be using it for something darker, it has a ton of potential to be funny.
The event will end after Roland realizes the only way to cure an infected gem is to poof them because it poofs both the host and the parasite, separating their gems and allowing the parasite to be bubbled. Any gems who haven't already figured that out and poofed themselves will be drawn to the place where Rick's gem originally shattered, which is conveniently near the birdhouse, and Roland will be available to cure them or instruct any uninfected tagalongs on how to do it. Again, while this can be played for trauma it doesn't have to be. Roland at the very least will be treating it like no big deal -- if your gem isn't hurt then you aren't really being injured, as he understands it.
Pretty much the idea for this is to provide an event people can use for a variety of different tones and character/relationship development options, that is as non-invasive (ha) as possible. Nobody will have to interact with characters participating unless they want to and it won't permanently effect the setting. I've been purposefully leaving the amount of pieces Rick shattered into vague so that as many people as want to can get infected. Hopefully this is something some people might want to get in on?
(As a note we do have Lepo's full permission to use Rick's gem for this).
