TEST DRIVE - Part 3

Maybe you've been here for a while, or maybe you just got here. Either way, you're all in the same situation - you've been turned into a magical gemstone and stranded in a foreign world! And all you've been left with is the clothes on your back, stripped of all powers except one.

Clearly, you’ll just have to make the best of it.

How this works:

☆ This is a test drive for [community profile] cosmographia, which means you should get a little familiar with the setting and premise.

☆ Otherwise, this is just meant to help you feel out how you may play and serves mainly as a chill interest gathering and get together kind of post! No app necessary, and you don't need to play in this post to apply - or vice versa.

☆ Everybody is welcome! There are no character limitations; pg au oc canon pigeon whatever. Just toss up a topcomment and/or jump any threads that pique your interest.

☆ This post will remain open until it begins to approach 5000 comments! Then a new test-drive post will be made.

☆ Rules-wise: Be cool to yourself and others, and keep in mind the other game rules too.

☆ If you do apply to the game and are accepted, and you want to keep the CR, you may so long as what you did isn't setting breaking and everyone involved agrees.

YOUR OPTIONS:

☆ You find yourself in the Heart of a ruined temple. There is a large glowing gem that thrums with some kind of rhythm, and jewels scattered all over the room, kept in strange bubbles. At the very least, touching the large gem will give you a standard info-dump, but some of you might be a little cautious about touching weird luminescent gems. Good thing that there are other people there too!

☆ Or perhaps you already know everything there is to know, and are there in the Heart of the Ruined Temple to greet new arrivals. Or perhaps you simply had business there already, like storing away a corrupted gem from a monster, when someone new seemingly dropped in from no where.

☆ It's Farmer's Market day in the plaza of Waverly Bay! Perhaps you're there perusing the goods and strike up conversation, or accidentally bump into someone and get to know them that way. It's a fairly standard day.

☆ There's an event! You don't really know what else to call them - missions, perhaps? But something in the temple was triggered, and the glowy Heart gem has something new to "tell" you: If you want a new power, you should try telling other people two truths and a lie. Those who you interact with must try and divine the lie from your statements.

You have no idea how something this simple will get you a power, but hey.

Option 1: Around the Temple

[There's a few chips lying on the ground several feet from where the snack table is. Also lying on the ground a few feet from those is an incredibly easy-to-draw ghost wearing a pair of headphones, a heart-shaped gem floating in the center of their body. They seem to be staring off into space, a somewhat glazed look in their eye.

Uh...come bother?]

Option 2: Two Truths and a Lie

Oh...that sounds like

fun...

[They hesitate for a moment. The game does, in fact, sound pretty fun, but...

well, their life is pretty boring.]

Why don't...you go first...

[Well, there's no better way to get a feel for new surroundings like just going out there and getting to it, right? Unfortunately, he can't quite excuse the incredible battery consumption of his newer form, so Mettaton's just rolling along as best as a giant, boxy robot can, happily and robotically chirping]

[There's a teenage girl bouncing excitedly around the market, going from stall to stall. So much delicious-looking Earth food! She's gotta try some!]

Do you give out free samples?!

[As she's making her rounds, she's not paying very close attention to where she's going and accidentally bumps into you!]

Oof! Whoopsie! Sorry!

Two Truths and a Lie

[Now this sounds like fun! Star skips cheerfully up to the nearest person she can find and taps them to get their attention.]

OK, sooo... I'm the princess of a magical kingdom, I'm a natural blonde, and my parents are lizard people! One of those things is a lie! Can YOU guess which one~?

1. The Temple

[Thump.

Not the most graceful of landings she's ever had, nor was snooping around a hole in the shape of herself one of her better ideas. It retrospect it seems almost like a blatant trap that seems stupid for even humoring, but...if this was trap set by a hungry dragon or changelings...where are they? And where was she?

Starlight looks around cautiously sparking her horn in case any less than friendly company comes by. This place looks nothing like where she was previously, it almost looked like part of the Crystal Empire, but that can't be right she was nowhere that north and it's looks too "cheery" to be any long lost cavern of Sombra, particularly with another crystal heart just hovering overhead. It couldn't be Princess Twilight's castle either since well...it's not underground.

She let's out an annoyed groan
]

Well isn't this just lovely??

2. The Farmers Market

[It says a lot when people don't look twice at a magical unicorn doing some grocery shopping...what exactly can be debated, but one may notice something else.

Maybe it's due to years of keen observation dedicated to eradicating them, but Starlight can't help but notice the subtle "differences" in everything and everyone gradually making her uncomfortable. To the untrained eye it may look like she's doing pretty well, smiling and being polite to the shopkeepers, but there are subtle "ticks" happening with Starlight; with her eyes never staying in one place for too long constantly darting around, to her movement slowly moving a bit faster as if she were in a hurry to get somewhere.

Would you like the check up on the unicorn?
]

3. Two Truths and a Lie

[...Literally a child's game. Welp this will be the easiest way she's gotten a spell yet]

Well then. I was raised in the mountains, I wish to improve my world and if possible others, I have never eaten a muffin before.

(Specify A for pony form, B for human.)

1:

Oh look, a temple complex housing an enormous gemstone. How oddly comforting. If it was shaped like a tree, Lucia would feel right at home.

Right now the oddly familiar looking purple unicorn (with an amythest horn) is examining the bubbled gems, a curious expression on her face. None of the stones seem carved into anything but simple geometric shapes, you see; that doesn't scan for her, in either world she's been to. What's she up to?

2:

In and out of town you see - (A) the purple unicorn in the Black Mage outfit, or (B) a human, also with an amythest horn walking around the town. In either case, they're taking notes on a cheap notebook with a high-quality pen, occasionally

If you look over her shoulder, she's mapping Waverly Bay on one page, taking notes on another, and occasionally filling a third with abtruse mathematical and alchemical symbols.

3:

"I don't know why the Heart bids us play a child's game, though I have my suspicions," the being before you says, setting aside her notebook with a snap. "But. Indulge me in two truths and a lie. Should I begin or should you?"

(taken from pre-canon)

2: Nikki isn't in the town, per se. Oh, she occasionally ventures out to get coffee or to apply for jobs - barista work, because she knows it well enough. But that's not where she's spending most of her incredibly stressful time in the new weird place she's found herself after jumping in a hole, a hole made JUST FOR HER. She's read enough creepy pasta and enough of one particular manga to be deeply on edge.

So she's burning off her nervousness at the arcade, on the dance machines, pinball, fighting games, or on the bullet hell machines. She's good at it, although she does swear under her breath when she messily explodes in her SHMUPs. Bother her? Join her?

3: She isn't asking people to play. She got caught by someone asking, having never actually touched the giant gem. (Also, she's wearing fingerless gloves now; that's odd.)

She snorts. "Two truths and a lie. Really? You first." Then under her breath: "This is so stupid."

[Today within the temple the usual(?) tranquility is punctuated by... spiderwebs. In fact, it would seem that the entire heart chamber is covered from ceiling to ground in a rather thick network of webbing. Be careful not to get too far in, or else you may find yourself stuck.]

[Or maybe it's too late?]

[Regardless, in one of the darker corners of the ceiling one would see a human-sized six-arm girl, perched on the webs like a swing. Two hands have raised over to her face in thoughtful appraisal. Two are clutching the edges of the web to keep her from falling, and two seem to be writing something. As she notices somebody enter, her five pitch-black eyes motion ever so slightly to its direction, and a fanged smile broadens.]

[The voice is cheery.]
Ah~ hello dearie! Welcome to my new home. Or rather, it would seem that I was forcibly chosen to be in one? Hmm, that seems rather presumptuous, isn't it? After all, it would seem I am a guest in this new dimension/world/room. Why, it's no manners at all~

Ah, but please forgive my prattle. I am a bit overwhelmed by the surroundings that I nearly forgot myself. My name is Muffet dearie. It is a pleasure to meet you~~♡

A) There's a scream as Twilight finally hit the ground. She'll just lay there for awhile, utterly confused before facehoofing.

"Can I please go for one day without having to travel to some unknown world? I think after everything I've been through, I'd get a little vacation..." she griped. Getting pack on her hooves, she couldn't help but blink as she spotted the large gem in front of her. "Oh, wow... that's new..." she uttered, starting to move towards it in curiosity.

B) Oh, well, this was neat - Farmer's Market. Twilight's convinced that the Apples would have loved something like this as she's busy trotting around, looking at what's what. Of course, she's seeing if there's anything book-related here, the nerd.

Either way, she's probably a little too distracted and just might bump into someone if she isn't careful...

[Standing in front of the Heart Gem is a lean young man dressed in a suit, as fancy as it garishly yellow. He reaches out his hand, which is covered by a black glove, and touches the large crystal as most new arrivals do. A few moments later, he lowers his hand and smirks with a chuckle.]

Heheh, déjà vu.

[Well, when you're billions of years old and have been to or seen into thousands of different dimensions while viewing infinite possible futures, some places and situations are bound to feel familiar. He wanders around the Temple until he finds somebody else and approaches them.]

Hey buddy, ya don't by any chance have a mirror do ya? Looks like somebody picked out a body for me and I'd like to see it!

[Since he doesn't remember possessing anyone. At least he can tell he's not a 12-year-old this time.]

Farmer's Market

[At some point, Bill realized he could shapeshift even while in this body. So what does he decide to do with that power? Turn into a venomous (or at least venomous-looking) snake and hide in a crate of apples until somebody comes along, of course! And someone eventually does, a woman picking up one of the apples. When she does, Bill leaps out and hisses at her, making sure to show off his fangs. The woman screams, dropping the apple and running away.

Once she's gone, the dream demon slithers out of the crate and onto the ground before changing back into human form. He laughs as he grabs an apple for himself, then takes a bite. Ahh, nothing like the fruit of discord! Maybe he won't be so bored here after all.]

[There's a boy on the floor in front of his hole, kneeling down and breathing deeply while a hand clutches his forehead. He seems to be trying to compose himself, clutching onto himself tightly. He looks relatively normal - black sleeveless shirt, cargo pants - except for the extravagant jewelry he wears: neck bracers, earrings, single bands around his biceps, and bracers on his wrists, all gold.

Finally, he stands, and makes his way to the large gem in the center of the room. He reaches a hand out to touch it, never releasing his forehead even as knowledge floods through him.

After a moment, he drops both of his hands and turns, revealing light purple eyes lined in kohl and his new gem centered on his forehead. He starts to smile a little too widely.]

A- arrival

[Of course Henry slipped right into that Henry-shaped hole the second he saw it. It even had an outline for his cape! Such a clever portal to the afterlife, or whatever it was. Even if it was meant to be an efficient grave for him, he can't deny it that purpose! Not quite the way he wanted to die, but hey what can you....]

Well now what's this place? I've never seen rocks so big! [He giggles to himself like that was very funny.]

How gem-teresting!

[Henry that was a stretch even by your standards.]

B- freestyle

[Henry was sad at first to learn that he'd lost his ability to do magic here. Even his hexes didn't work, and after all the trouble he went to to collect all those animal corpses. Oh well. He's learning that there are different magics here, and he gets to learn all over again! That's sort of exciting. That stone he somehow became connected with when he arrived here is the source, and he's determined to work it!

The stone in question is a crescent of ivory just under his left eye, looking almost like his cheekbone is trying to protrude out of his skin. He's been trying to make magic happen out of it for hours now, with very little to show for it.

He's about to have a breakthrough, though, when someone next approaches. He's so focused when he catches sight of them that he manages to activate his one clairvoyance. The ivory creates a sort of filter, a second hovering magic eye made of swirling white and purple magic in front of his own eye, and through that filter he sees... a number. Hovering over the head of his company.

He doesn't know what it means, yet, that it's essentially a killcount. But it will start a conversation.]

i. the heart of the temple

[ Lev doesn't seem to be particularly alarmed about finding himself in the Temple. He wanders around, running one pale, delicate hand over the walls and the rocky outcrops and occasionally craning his neck to get a better look at a bubbled gem. His other hand rests at his collarbone; his shirt is open and a gem -- livid carnelian -- peeks through. He worries at the edges of the gem, where it fuses with his flesh. The skin there is irritated and bleeding in a few places -- he's been picking at it for some time. A walking stick hangs off the crook of that arm, but he's not making use of it right now -- and so his gait is a little unsteady, a little wavering and drunken.

He stays away from the glowing gem at the centre. He doesn't trust it -- and even though he's convinced this is a particularly vivid dream, brought on by accidentally double-dosing his medication, or failing that, a hallucination brought on by forgetting his medication, some murky part of his brain is insisting it's all too real and too solid to be a phantom of the mind. But he ignores that.

He's trying to stay calm. Panic will only make things worse, he knows that through bitter experience.

Seeing another person enter the Temple, he turns to them with an absent, dreamy smile and waves.
]

Evening. Afternoon? I've kind of, um, lost track of time here. But hello, anyway. Can you tell me what this place is?

ii. farmer's market

[ Lev is at a fruit stall, leaning heavily on his walking stick, the fingers of his other hand tapping aimlessly at the surface of a pineapple. He's feeling a little clouded today; thinking is hard. But he's out of food and fruit is easy to eat.

After some more thought, he picks up the pineapple and turns to the nearest passerby.
]

Um. Excuse me? Sorry, um. Sorry to bother you, but I can't seem to figure this out and if I stand here any longer, I'm going to, um, starve. Does this pineapple look ripe to you?

[ He holds up the fruit in question, eyebrows raised quizzically. ]

He timidly tries to navigate the temple, jumping the instant he hears any sort of noise, and cowering whenever possible in a poor attempt to hide.

That is until he sees...something pretty.]

MONGE!

[Hiding is no longer an option as Komasan shouts and hops over to one of the many gems that litters the temple, admiring its...um, everything. He doesn't even seem to notice his own gem, a blue sort of stone cut in the same manner as his many swirls, replacing the one usually found on his belly. No, this floor gem is far more interesting.]

It's so sparkly, zura~

[As he coos over a rock, it doesn't take long before he finds an even bigger one and leaps over to that, the same sort of shouting happening all over again.]

MONGE!!!

[And it happens. Again. And again. Until eventually he finds a gem attached to a person, saaaaay possibly even you, completely oblivious as he fawns over it like it's the greatest thing he's ever seen.]

B. Market

[Komasan wasn't sure what he was expecting when he heard about a market, but from what he's seen so far, it's exciting. Despite all the people, it wasn't quite as hectic as what he'd become accustomed to in the city, a pace he could certainly get used to.

Something he wasn't used to, however, was the fact that people could see him now, and every now and then he'd brush past against someone or hop onto stalls to get around things, acting as though he were still invisible.]

There's so many things for sale, I hope I have enough money, zura...

To say this guy's looking confused would be an understatement. Confused, worried, angry and on high alert captures his current state a little better. He keeps touching the gem at his throat anxiously, still not used to have a rock embedded into his skin and out of sorts with this place he's found himself at. But there's something very important he's missing.

"Hey, have you seen my kid? He's got tanned skin, red hair, probably doing something stupid as we speak?" When he speaks his Irish accent rings through every word.

He doesn't seem too impressed with the game. It screams 'ice breaker at an office training day' or some rubbish but sure, why the hell not. If someone tried to hand him a name tag or a piece of paper to quiz someone on their hobbies though, he was Done.

Heart of the Temple

[ Reisen didn't know where she was, why she had been so compelled to go in the hole, or how she was going to get back to Eientei. Just the thought of the scolding she was going to get from Eirin due to her time away was enough drive for her to start walking around the temple.

As soon as she notices the large, glowing gem, she begins examining it in silence. 'It's probably not a good idea to touch this... But something is beckoning me to do so. Is it a trap? I'm sure I can handle myself if it is, but...'

Feel free to come up to her while she ponders touching it or not, or even go and touch it yourself to show her it's not dangerous!
]

Greeting The New Arrivals

[ Some time after getting the information overload the gem provided herself, Reisen decided that for the time being she would be a helpful lil' bunny and direct people to touch the not ominous looking at all large gem. Both of her hands rest down in front of her and she keeps a welcoming, cheerful smile on her face, faking it a bit due to the circumstances. ]

Farmer's Market Day

[ Just because Reisen had found herself a walking, talking gemstone didn't mean she could just go and stop the necessity for food and drink! That said, there's a small bag on Reisen's arm as she walks along each different stall and a few carts, perusing the goods. Almost comically she spends a large amount of time looking at the carrots and eventually decides to nab a good lot of them.

...She was still a rabbit after all, and rabbits had favorite kinds of food! Perhaps that's why she also got a good deal of lettuce for herself.
]

Event? Mission? Thing!

... That's kinda ridiculous.

[ Well, it didn't seem the gem was gonna go and talk to her back. Two truths and a lie, huh, and her goal was to see if people could divine the lie from the truths? She barely knew anyone here, so that wasn't going to be too hard, but something about lying to strangers didn't sit right with her.

Oh well, if this is what she had to do to gain a new power (curiosity killed the bunny?) then so be it. The first person she comes across gets flagged down, and subsequent people will also get flagged down occasionally so that she can tell each of them three different things.. depending on who they are, and when she nabbed their attention off to the side.

Oh sweet globe tickling hell.

[That's the sound oddly specific phrase Karkat makes now that he's climbed off the floor to look around at where exactly he is. This is weird. This is really weird. He remembers going down a hole, but where is this? This isn't the Land of Quartz and Melody, is it?]

Aradia? Oh my god, Aradia, please be here, I am entirely too new to being dead and I don't need a giant, glowing bloodpusher to be my introduction to the experience. And while we're at it can we talk about the being dead thing? Because I do not want to be dead. I need to not be dead like right now, and maybe you know someone who I could talk to who could undo the whole getting stabbed and dumped in lava thing and--

[He's papping at his chest, right to left, over the holes cut through the circles of the sign on his shirt, which fortunately don't have wounds behind them. But the hole on the left? There's something hard behind it, and his palm hits it. He looks down to see a teardrop-shaped gem through the cut in the fabric, which is quite attached to his skin.]

What the fuck?

B. The Farmer's Market

[So you know the whole thing about gems and powers and those going together? Karkat doesn't. Or maybe he does by now, explained by some kind, patient soul to him, but it doesn't mean he knows a damn thing about what's going on now.]

[Which is, namely, that his hands are on fire. Not bad fire. Just a little, like, small bursts of flames over his palms. Which are flailing kind of everywhere.]

[Karkat can look at the goods these kind farmers are selling later, because right now--]

Oh god oh god oh god oh god, I'm on fire, FUCK.

[--he's running through, as if bolting around fast enough is the key to escaping the flames. They aren't even burning him, but like hell he can focus enough to keep that in mind. At this rate he's likely to run into someone.]

[As many others before, a blonde woman could be found face-first on the ground in the middle of the temple. Her hair bundled in a giant tentacled mess. Gingerly, Celes raises up her body to examine her surroundings only to be immediately confronted by an oval gemstone wedged into her palm. Even more distressing, the stone is translucent, with only golden spindles preventing her from seeing completely through her own hand. To her surprise, her fingers work fine, as though there wasn't a piece of rock separating bone and ligaments.]

Magicite...? [Because there was no other rock that she knew of that could explain it. There was no time to be overwhelmed, however, as her new situation demanded deeper appraisal. The former general quickly noted that she was uninjured, save for the new gem, but also that her sword was nowhere to be seen. The only possession that seemed to have followed was her outfit and the bandanna that she was clutching in her left hand. Leaving her possessions, she then started examining the room, noting the heart stone in the center while also seeing the bubbled gems floating all around.]

A stone in my hand and hundreds of cracked ones suspended in bubbles. Who is to say that a similar fate awaits me if I heed this call? [She'd feel better with her sword. Or, even better, somebody familar.]

Farmer's Market

[Celes had some time to adjust and found the world... interesting. A part of her knew that Waverly was completely different from where she came from but she couldn't help feeling a sense that the lands beyond were not unlike the World of Ruin. Still, it was enough time to know more of the gems, and the powers, and the fact that many were completely unskilled with them.]

[She would not let that pass.]

[So, she decided that if she was going to be stuck here, she was going to be of some use. Throughout the market one may find a woman with a yellow jumpsuit handing out flyers. They read:]

Hey you!
Got a weapon you don't know how to use?
Ask me if you want training.
Don't be an idiot!
Knowing how to use it can save lives.
Probably yours!

A) Temple

[It isn't the first time he's encountered strange magic. He just wished it would be the last.

After somehow finding himself...here (wherever here was), one of the more recent newcomers seemed a bit reluctant to move very far from where he found himself near the Temple's Heart. He wanted to get out, but it was mostly because he had yet to find out where he was, and ducking into the hallways of an unknown place where he could get lost didn't seem like a good idea. He'd start searching for fresh air later; at least he was familiar with caves, just not...structured ones like this.

From behind, he looks normal enough. It looks like he's reaching a hand out toward one of those bubbles, actually, so far not bothering with the Heart. He doesn't touch anything actually, no matter how close he gets.

Odd, considering the fact that he seems to have four arms to touch things with, upon closer inspection. But his hands aren't moving much more- no, instead a pair of antennae atop his head are twitching madly, turning this way and that and scenting the air around everything to try and make sense of it all.

It's no magic he's ever seen, and that alone is enough to make him uncomfortable.]

B) Farmer's Market

[Adrian's at the market today with just the barest amount of pocket change to buy things with. Figures since he doesn't have a real job yet, and he highly doubts petty thievery isn't frowned upon in these parts. But what to buy? Nothing here looks good to him at all...

If you're passing by, you might hear him call out to you in mild frustration after wandering the stalls aimlessly for a bit.]

Oi! You know what kinds of root vegetables they got 'round here?

a.

[Ichimatsu has taken quite a tumble into what seems to be... a temple full of bubbles? And now his forehead is slightly bleeding. Great. And either he's having a huge bout of deja-vu right now or he's concussed his head rather hard back there. Whatever.

He acts as if it's nothing though, and continues to stare up at the large gem, wondering what is this and where the FUCK did he fall into this time. He can faintly feel something weird just below his chest, but he's not paying attention to that right now.]

b.

[He ambles into the plaza with what little money he has, planning on what to cook later. He's never really made a meal all by himself though, but it's never too late to try! His brothers aren't here to bug him about this anyway.

So there he goes, carrying one paper bag full of of mostly instant food and... some of what appears to be some cheap cat toys in the other. There has got to be cats around here.

And in true cheesy fashion, he accidentally bumps into you and the contents of the paper bags fly off in all directions. Feeling utterly embarrassed, he crouches down and began picking up his shit rather hurriedly, not wanting to stay here for long. God.]

c.

[Powers, huh... Guess it can't hurt to try. He taps behind your back lightly.]

Hey. Wanna do that thing?

[When you turn to look at him, his eternally dead eyes keeps boring into your very soul and he probably exudes a gloomy aura too. Whether or not you want to interact with this pitch-black idiot anyway is up to you.]

☆ Arrival ☆

There's a young girl curled into a ball sitting in the corner of the Heart Room, looking...well, terrified. She's trembling with fear, and her wide, panic-stricken eyes are darting between the various bubbled gems all around. There's a red-and-green gem set in her left arm, halfway between the wrist and the elbow; she's gripping it tightly with her right hand.

☆ Beach ☆

Eventually, Terra manages to calm down enough to get an explanation, but she still doesn't feel comfortable enough to stay in the Temple, opting instead to simply flee outside in search of a place with less people. In the end, she decides to simply sit down on the sand a distance away from the Temple and stare out at the sea, idly picking up handfuls of sand and letting them trickle through her fingers.

Arrival

[He's not that startled when he wakes up in a strange place: for one thing, this isn't even the first time this has happened. And second the Temple almost looks like the Outrealm Gate.

The fact that he is alone is much more worrying, but he's not about to sit and mope. He has to get a layout of the surrounding area, just in case he was attacked. So one might find a man in a long coat investigating the bubbled gems with obvious fascination.]

It's almost like this is some kind of treasury...

[You might want to stop him before he pops one of said bubbles, cuz he is very clearly going for it]

Battle

[Okay maybe he DID end up popping something he shouldn't have, because there is a monster on the beach. A quick, fluttering dragonfly like creature with crystal wings. He's never fought something like this, but in the end it's not really any different then a Pegasus Knight when it comes to movement and speed.

Especially since it seemed that strange gem on his hand felt fit to give him a tome to work with. The writing in it was strange, but almost instinctually he knows what the words mean.]

Elthunder-!

[Bolts of electricity rack the monster, making it buzz in rage, and the tactician barely dodges out of the way when it slams itself into the ground to try and grab him.]

That... could have gone better.

[It's getting back up... maaaybe he could use some back up?]

[OOC: While he is going to be actual size, for simplicity sake if you want him to be larger to make things easier just say so in the subject line!]

Option 1: The Temple

[If you're in the Temple today, you'll probably notice a small incredibly average-looking man walking around, looking really confused.]

Ooookay, I don't remember waking up here or... why everything is so big now. Maybe I should call up L-

[Suddenly he finally notices all the gems everywhere (he didn't notice them at first since he didn't bother ever looking up) and is instantly in awe by all this beauty.]

I've never seen gems so beautiful in my life...

[And now he's just wandering around, just staring at the gems and not even noticing the large rectangular gem on his own back. He'll probably end up bumping into anyone, no matter how large, just because of how stunned he is right now.]

Option 2: Two Truths and a Lie

[Honestly when Emmet heard about the possibility of fighting monsters to get new powers, he was pretty reluctant to the idea. He wasn't much of a fighter in the first place and facing off against giant monsters when he hadn't gotten shapeshifting down yet. However when he heard that he can get a new power, he was stoked! Maybe he can get Masterbuilding back as a power!

So he happily walks up to the nearest person to do the event; excited even though he hadn't thought through the game yet.]

So two truths and a lie, I totally got this!

Sooooo... I like "Where's my Pants?", I like coffee, and I hate hot dogs!

[He grins widely, as if his lie was impossible to pick out or that any of what he said would be really interesting if they were true.]
